I lived in Atlanta for 30 years and was doing fine and then relocated back to Kenya my birthplace. Not everybody gets it bad there. The only advantage Kenya has over the US is the weather and access to organic food. Please take note that the cold season is only for a short time given that there is Fall, Spring and Summer too. Both the US and Kenya have their pros and cons. What I find disturbing is when Kenyans use the diaspora to elevate themselves and then bash the very place that did it for them.

@mercyk26725 ай бұрын
The advice I would give to anyone coming to America is whatever job you get, make sure a certain percentage of your income goes into a 401k or 403b. Thars money that is taken out before you receive the check. Its money you can't spend. It stays in the account until you retire. Your employer also matches your contribution. That's free money. Also, look for a job that offers pensions. Some employers still give pensions. That way, when you leave this place or retire, you'll still be getting a monthly income. This is what I did. With the pension, social security and 401k, I'll be bringing in just as much as I'm bringing in my current job. This frees you from a lot of stress in old age. You won't feel like you wasted your youth in America

401k can get swallowed when the economy crashes. Don't forget 2008 recession

At what age can you redeem those benefits ?

@@wambosunshine5600you ask a good question, his or her advice is that you must live america in old age, and this doesn’t make any sense to me, to get all this the benefits every month you must have been retired, age 59 to 63, at this age you already waste your time, live america in a young age while you can still enjoy your life
@wambosunshine56004 ай бұрын
@@modestmkali3436 exactly my point . Some people have to wait till 65- 67 even 70 to get the full benefits.

It depends on your profession too. Not every Kenyanis toiling for 16 hours. Most people in my town are professionals, including me. I work only 8 hours a day and I make a very comfortable living. The only time I struggled was when I was getting my masters degree since I had to work 3 jobs
