The conviction and intense manner in which he speaks is captivating. Shakespeare would take notes from Mr. Willink.

Often times when I understand a new concept or finish reading a passage in a book I think to myself 'I can take a small break now, I did good work'. I always knew there was something wrong with this but could never quite put my finger on what. Now I understand it's the quitting instinct. I will fight this every time now.

I use a concept I call ACDH to establish a basic foundation of character development. Attitude, compassion, discipline, and humility are the core fundamentals that allow ones self to develop more positive characteristics; at that moment all doors are able to be opened. As you say, the quitter instinct is a plague on society. Discipline is required.

lewis jones that I agree with. Him as the president of the United States of America would become the greatest president in the U.S.A history, not even Lincoln or George Washington would stand in his greatness. Is one thing to create, but another to lead what you created and this man can do the both.

I’ve commented something like this a few months back, but I just want to reaffirm. This mentality works. I’m not going to give some huge sob story or memoir, fuck that. I was on a good path, but with people like Jocko, Jordan, Joe, I’ve used their lessons and I’m reaching goals. Not satisfied, but proud. Get after it homies. Hopefully, you see me on the tv soon with this dream of mine. Push through and aim high.

I remember that time I squatted 15 times my standard reps, 330 if I remember correctly, and couldn't walk properly for three days. Already planning to do it at the start of my 3 days off. About that "fight on" instinct - where does the line stand from having me break my own bones, through microfractures? P.S. Where is the quitter instinct in 11:59 PM, while I'm continuing to browse the web?
