30 yrs old. I remember telling all my friends at the roller rink “you have to get this album, her name is Britney Spears” and immediately after the wave came. This was such an amazing time. These beats/rythyms don’t really exist anymore, they were literally addictive. These pop stars that people now love to joke about were actually much more real artists (imo) than a lot of what we see today. I loved this era so much, but I’m sure every generation says that.

In the Spanish version she sings: "Si me quieres junto a ti / Frotame y ya verás / Tres deseos te concedo / Si me juras tu amor" which translates to "If you want me by your side / Rub me and you'll see / Three wishes I'll grant you / If you swear you love me."

The sexual aspects of the lyrics were mostly metaphorical. The core message of the song is that no woman should give her body away on a whim - wait for someone who will truly respect her first. Personally, I'd take it even further and say wait until marriage, but I know others disagree.

I miss the freaking late 90's and early 2000's! I was born in 97 and my best memories of pop music are from those years! The clothes, the music, the pop stars were SO COOL! I grew up listening to Xtina and I absolutely love her!

I have never seen someone so powerful. Her voice is enchanting, but it's not just that. Her confidence and expressions are 100% , making it to where you can feel what she's singing. I love her sad songs also because she delivers so much emotion in her performances.

Very impressive for her to be able to sound nearly the same as the record all the while delivering the choreography! I miss this stage of her career. Nowadays she doesn't really incorporate dance routines into her music videos anymore.

One thing I liked from her debut era is that every song is carefully selected. It is an album full of potential hits and the release of the singles were very carefully thought of. That's why it managed to bag 4 Top 5 hits. After that, everything was all over the place.

This concert actually hold huge part of my childhood. My father had recorded this on a VHS tape and I played it probably 5000 times. I remember the woman from Sabrina the teenage witch did some backstage interviewing and a ton of my favorites. Were there, Britney 98°, even a very small band called Boyz ‘n’ Girlz United it was everything.

Back when Xtina had no control over her career, she was groomed to be another pop princess who would rival her contemporaries at that time. To be honest, and I know most people would disagree with me on this, sometimes I wished that Christina remained this way, singing radio-friendly pop songs accompanied with excellent choreography, coz honestly Xtina can dance & she knows how to dance! she just didn't really put much focus and attention on her choreography in the succeeding years of her career. Had she done it, perhaps she remained relevant & really attained "true" Icon status up to now. Nevertheless, I'm still glad that I was able to witness this phase of her career.

"True" icon status... Christina is an icon. If your look up any popular singers right now nearly all of them were inspired by Christina Aguilera. Also, many great and legendary singers have all praised her. Some have performed and recorded with her. Her "true" icon status has been reached many times over. And she's not stopping anytime soon.

This was when TV was good... I remember this. They had all the good people for this concert. Christina, Britney, 702, Destiny's Child, Tyrese, Joe, Backstreet Boys, Nsync, etc...... this was most of the new artists first time performing on tv.... I remember my mama allowed me to stay up late to watch this entire event.
