For being the best show ever, I feel it was incomplete. Horrific ending! Why couldn't you just give us the finale we deserved after 4.5 years of loyalty? Villanelle sinking into the Thames and Eve screaming was absurd! You made me hate my favourite show of all time! Why couldn't you just send them to Alaska? They probably wouldn't have stayed too long, too cold! But, at least they would be TOGETHER! That's all we wanted as detacated fans and followers! Thanx for nothin!* 😔😢🤷

In the books they both survived (Villanelle's sniper death was staged), were eventually re-united and ended up in a sort of witness protection program in St. Petersburg.

Jodie Comer is an utterly outstanding actress. I feel like so much of her acting comes to her intrinsically and without thinking too much about it. She doesn't overanalyze Villanelle's character, doesn't over-explain her acting choices in interviews and yet there's this immense layer of complexity in villanelle's character that's absolutely stunning. She's manifested her in the tiniest of movements, for example the lip snarl in "are you going to apologize". Villanelle admired Eve for stabbing her and would never respect Eve for backtracking on that

Always feels as if, rather than playing the character, she becomes the character. The result is totally amazing, only I'm not sure if this super intensive approach is healthy for her, in the long run.

I felt like there was so much more to tell in the series. For example they finally got together so all of the shippers would have loved to see them as a couple and perhaps work together as a killing duo. I was so sad 😢😢😢

I had to smile a bit when Sandra Oh said about the Paris-apartment-stabbing incident "It really brought us quite close together." Shouldn't it be "them"" (V&E) rather than "us"?

When I watched the finale for the first time, I was gutted like most fans. But now upon giving it a break and rewatching, it makes perfect sense. Eve & Villanelle couldn't of had a happy ever after, since that had nothing to do with their relationship. It was a very human ending. Obsession, power and the dynamic therein isn't a relationship but a star that burns out quickly. Something the show was very clear about throughout it's run. Their magic was in that dynamic, honestly I would've been mad if we got a fanservice ending with them living happily. Imagine how boring that would have been?

Have a look at the ending (last 20 pages or so) of the third book (Die for Me) of Luke Jennings' Villanelle trilogy. Very different ending, and it is neither shallow nor boring.

Yes. Sandra oh said something like, it’s a romance, but not a relationship. I think that’s it.

@@Kampfrattex3 A romance. Ok. Makes sense. Certainly feels like something a bit beyond friendship...
