Thanks. I would do the bracing on the front differently. I have made the same mistake before. The brace across the top interferes with the stacking of the door. The kiln is holding up well although we work it hard. I love the burners.Thanks.

This is our new soda kiln. It was built in 2006 for about $5500 making use of several hundred used brick among the new ones. If you would like the ordering sheets let me know. The corner supports are a real nice way to do things if you only have welding at a remote location. Your results may vary. Louis

A materials list would be awesome also some measurement infos would be great as well although i would prefer to make one like this design but a little bit smaller. =)

Great video! Where was that magic when I built my soda kiln? As I recall it was a lot of work, but very satisfying at the same time. If anyone wants plans for a downdraft soda kiln (could be glaze kiln too) see my website. Search "Cuzick" I also do not warrant it, but it works for me and SDSU.
