The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first major title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. The 2022 US Open is scheduled to go ahead between August 23 - September 11.

Competition was too tight in early 2000s. Serena henin Venus capriati later Sharapova . It was stack field of top consistent players and it was hard work to win a slam

Quality of that match, for the most part, was pretty poor - tons of errors and occasional moonballing. Second set had some nice rallies.
