Kim looks absolutely beautiful! That said, this is probably the most un-Kim kinda track, as Belinda Carlisle producers wanted to create that.

Her previous album was a flop in all Europe and Kim asked Rick Nowels for help to tracing her career. Probably she thought her 80’ synthopop sound had gone out of style while pop rock formula of Belinda Carlisle in the early 90 still worked. But in 1992 also Belinda’ s formula was showing signs of exhaustion and less inspiration from her production team. So this song looks like a B- side of Belinda, not bad but nothing exceptional. Kim got a few more positions in UK chart but didn’t reach Top Ten, which she never saw again in her life.

Belinda with the Go-go’s had a album at n.1 in the USA for six weeks and at n.1 in the Uk with her Greatest hits in 1992. Kim reached only n.3 with an album in Uk in 1981 and the maximum for her in the richest market in the world was only n.40 in 1987: really negligible popularity! In USA Belinda received a double platinum album and one gold with the Go-go’s, as solo one platinum and two gold, Kim zero absolute! Belinda had 5 albums in Japanese charts, Kim was totally absent! Belinda wins in popularity in Canada and Australia too. Kim surely reached better results only in France and Germany and other little countries in Center Europe, but not in Southern Europe! These are the facts, i don’t see this superiority of Kim that exists only in your subjective vision, sorry!
