Thank you, I've been trying to study chemistry but my teacher is really not the best, and when I open a book to study it's like a brand new language.

As you might know, we only have to 6 questions in chemistry this year, what topics would u recommend doing. like, would do recommend doing titrations or organic reactions or common practicals?
@tomibiala7894
@tomibiala7894 2 жыл бұрын
hiiii i’m also sitting the lc yhis year , personally i’m doing the first 3 questions since they’re guaranteed titration organic and other keep in mind they will always ask about preparation apparatus which is an easy question, question 5 is a good one too (chapters 2-7) there might be a lot but it’s pretty simple once you set your mind to it and could possibly be a question 10 also question 6 is fuels and heats of reactions which is a good chapter (chapter 21) yes there’s a lot but it’s not a hard chapter. for other choice i’m planning on studying ph n water and chemical equilibrium!! also learning and understanding all the basic definitions and you’ll be okay !! 💕

Oh my goodness guys😅, I feel so bad for you because I heard that last year's chem paper ( your LC year ) was terrible because many of the questions that people had intended to come up, had not come up! I feel horrible and if that was me, I would be crying all day. How did it go for yous?
@Anna-ri8cg

Yes, it was so bad, I only prepared for the predicted ones and but somehow still got H3.... Anyway I felt like I did really bad cause I didn't even actually answer any question completely for which we had prediction..... But result shocked me... I expected H5 or something cause it went bad...

do you have any advice on how to do the calculations in the titrations? i struggle with them so much and can't understand them!!
@KiMai
@KiMai 4 жыл бұрын
They can a lil tricky tbh...i would suggest practicing a lot of those questions both from the book and from exam papers. Keep record of all your work and see where you are going wrong and focus on that. Watch volumetric analysis videos on KZfaq and understand why they are doing the steps that they are. Also really work hard on your stoichiometry questions since they are the basis of chemistry calculations. Other than that i also looking at the books examples and seeing what logic are they using for doing each steps. I hope this answers your questions 😊🌸

Hi, I am in 5th year doing Chemistry. I am having a really hard time doing the calculations such as gases, moles and I am finding it difficult to wrap my head around shapes of molecules. I have tried looking on youtube but I fail to do any calculations correctly. Can you provide some advice for me because I really need it? I do exam papers and get some of them but for the ones, I don't. I try using examinations.ie but they do not make it clear how they get their answers. I appreciate you making these kinds of videos. Enjoy the day!

hi, thanks for watching my video🌸 for calculations : calculations for chemistry can be challenging so dont worry if you don't get them right from the start. work on your basic mathematics. do you know how to manipulate the equations, convert units etc? khan academy has good videos on how to get a mole etc. Follow the example along and practise. When you keep on practicing you will get it. Also if you can't get the right answer, try to figure out EXACTLY why you cant get it. Where did you go wrong ? then you will know what to fix ! for shapes : draw them, play with them, imagine them, think about them. Keep on mulling over them in your head till you get it. Honestly thats the only way i got it. I am a visual learner so i drew them a lot and tried to understand why would something be shaped like this Hope this helps😘

@@KiMai just abit of condensing the information of the organic families . And some concepts such as Hess's law isnt explained in depth. I'm kinda scared that a question might show up and I wont know the answer after all the study.
@KiMai
@KiMai 5 жыл бұрын
1.as for organic families, it is very important you understand the basic concepts of electronegativity and generally how inter-molecular and intramolecular forces act. Once you are proficient with that, organic chem will be a bit easier. 2. Then target each family individually, eg properties, examples and functions of aldehydes, alcohols and so on ( making graphs and tables will help) 3.hess's law seems very intimidating but is actually very straightforward. Just learn the definition and I can guarantee the concept of this law is simple and you might actually also already know it without realizing. This video explains it well: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aNdiqJikz5q6YGQ.html 4. To ease your exam anxiety, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU PRACTISE OLD EXAM PAPERS ( that will help you realize what comes up and how to handle a qs if you don't know it ^^) ((sorry for the long comment, i hope you found it helpful :)))

@KiMai
@KiMai 3 жыл бұрын
hmm I haven't done phys/Chem so I can't compare them to phys and Chem separately but I suggest looking at your course requirements and seeing if they make a distinction about them, if they don't then u can choose which ever :)
