Right, let’s clear this up once and for all. From left to right, Kimber’s Men are: Joe Stead, Mike Beeke, Neil Kimber, Gareth Scott and John Bromley. Mike Beeke and Gareth Scott, as others have pointed out, are the two tenors, but the timbres of their voices are noticeably different. The rich tenor voice you can hear is Gareth’s: he’s got a very distinctive fast, wide vibrato that is evident on many of their more recent KZfaq videos. Take a listen at 2:05: you can still hear a tenor harmony (from Mike Beeke), but the timbre is clearly different. Look up Kimber’s Men singing The Wellerman to hear Gareth’s voice; for Mike’s voice look for Chicken On A Raft. For a more recent lineup, check out Bamfield’s John Vanden.

@Matsumoto Outo 'Drunk' in the Alley. The bully boys used to target drunks in the alleys when looking for ships crews. Easy targets, imagine going out for a few pints and waking up in the morning halfway across the english channel and as part of a ships crew! Thats why they were called bully boys.
