I remember listening to this at her concert so excited to listen to the song at home and SO disappointed when the song wasn't this acoustic ballad of love. I pray she releases this more stripped down version 🥹

I left a comment like this similar to this on another version but I had to reshare it… Myself and my daughter fell in love with Kimbra when we heard her vows album. I vowed to her that I would take her to a Kimbra show somehow someway. Now I’m 57 and she’s 27. After living life with some highs and way too many lows, I had the opportunity to take daddy’s little girl to see Kimbra in NYC!! It was one of the most memorable days of our lives !! Daddy and his princess watched with😢tears coming down our eyes as she sang this song. What a perfect ending to a VOW I made to my daughter…. Thank you Kimbra! Only yiu and only you could have made that come true!

Kimbra is so much better live. Something gets lost in the studio recordings. All this means you'll never be disappointed seeing her in concert.

She's one of the most magical live performers I've ever seen, there's a certain rawness and imperfection that really adds to the performance and it always gets lost when it's cleaned up for albums

i keep coming back to this performance, the way she sings the chorus her voice is almost like a violin. the way shes using her, I guess throat?, to sing its amazing.

also, on my prob 1 897th view, watch the violin player when kimbra is singing the verse and shes not playing. violin aint just playing, she deep in the song.
