As a musician who has been performing for over 40 years, it actually makes me upset😢that Kimbra is soooo underrated… As far as I’m concerned, she is one of the best female vocalist of this era. Her talent is undeniable..

I don’t get the impression that Kimbra cares about having the same level of recognition that the mainstream female vocalists have- and I think it shows precisely in her musical choices and trajectory. Dare I say, Kimbra’s appeal is rooted in how true to her artistic concepts she has been throughout her career; which are exactly what make her not mainstream

I wish a recording studio would capture an album of this version of Kimbra - just her live voice and some instrumentation. The outrageous talent we met with Plain Gold Ring at Sing Sing studios, still killing it today.

Man that E key in 'As You Are' has a direct line to my damaged heart. Underrated? She's rated exactly as she should be by those of us who know. And she's pretty famous... Perhaps as famous as she wants to be? To step into the next tier she'd have to make artistic sacrifices I don't think she or any of us would want.

I agree, but I'm also glad she'll pick them back up and keep using them. Half her work is in the use of technology. She uses it not as a crutch, but as an instrument. As another dimension in which she can be creative.

Raw performance that reaches the highest level of vocal quality and capability that can not be duplicated by any electronic sound.... this sound come from within the body of love and ultimate creation.... IN MY OWN OPINION. she reaches in this innermost intimate place... we are so fortunate to bear witness to this magnificent experience of sound generated from self awareness of true soul.

Let's hope not. That song didn't show even a fragment of her talent. Very under utilized and I understand why, no dig to Gotye but her voice could easily overwhelm him and outshine him in his own song. But it's not like it's a heavy singing song on his behalf so it's smart for her to meet him at his level but knowing the capacity of talent she has? That is what makes it disappointing for us as fans.

'As you are' is the most beautiful pearl in the world. She can sing it even with the mouth shut and will be the best version at all. As she moves there is an hypnotic vibe that makes me watch her moves and drowns me in her voice
