I just made this today and it was super delicious! I let the rice crisp up a little on the bottom and served it with an egg on top and some nori squares to pick it up. I’ll make this often as I almost always have cooked rice on hand. Yum!

it’s called 파기름. it’s a common method in korean cooking, which purpose is to extract the taste of green onions into the cooking oil in order to add a certain kind of savory taste (풍미) to the food

Buying pre-cooked rice in a sealed container: Yes it seems quite odd. Not very hard to cook rice…..on a cooking channel especially…. Yes I know you use day old refrigerated rice for fried rice. Once again, cooking channel: cook rice yourself and refrigerate it.
