Yeah I agree, I think every witches and wizards in this movie use their wand very smoothly, they don't scream and yell incantations at eachother while duelling like in Harry Potter films

@@DavidKen878 Snape and Minerva literally dueled like this lol. Snape blocked all of her spells without an incantation, and Minerva threw spells at him without incantations. Dumbledore and Voldemort did this too, the fought without really using any incantations.

Shouldn't matter? Elder Wand answered to Harry after he disarmed Draco by physically taking the wand off him.

Just checked, he wasn't using the elder wand there when pretending to be the Auror.

@@jamiestewart48 Shouldn't matter. Drako wasn't using the Elder wand either when Harry disarmed him and he still got ownership. Here Grindelwald crealy lost in a duel, and by all means he should have lost possesion of the wand, but whatever.

@rifilyarim It is cooler, but I think showing basic magic in harry potter was good since they were kids. The wizards in this trilogy are well-prepared and trained.

There's actually another shot in the original editing of Newt and Tina walking towards Grindelwald in between. It's no glitch. During the process of creating the visual effects for the transition from Graves to Grindelwald, they knew there would be a shot cutting it in two and therefore they saved unnecessary production labour.

@Chris Paez I'm with Grindlewald all the way. In the end, HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT the horror of nuclear weapons. More powerful than any magical spell, ANY, and kills on a genocidal level. He did not want this, and called muggles barbaric, spoke of their power lust, and asked how long it would be before we (the muggles) turned our weapons on them? He was right about everything. It's sad when the so-called villain makes more sense than everyone else. He simply thought those born with magical blood should be in charge and make the big decisions as a ruling class. Because he isnt going to kill just for the sake of killing. I am not sure if he truly intended to kill newt , maybe he was just trying to get the opponent out of fight. And if he tried to kill him , i am glad he didn't use avada kedavra because voldermort and his fellow death eaters overused this spell. I am sure there are more creative and impressive spells one can use for this purpose ;)

One because grindelwald is Kinda of a Show off.in the second movie when he cast Protego diabolica,he takes his take to act as this Dark Maestro,instead of just Burning everyone Else. Second because,of artistic liberty.avada kedavra is just overused in The HP movie/book series and they showed us other kinds of magic in the film,like the beasts,charms and aparition etc.so why stop with tge good guys?give the villain of tge movie some freedom.

Same reason he didn’t kill Tina when he could. He doesn’t want to kill potential Wizarding followers only incapacitate. He gives them a choice in Crimes Of Grindelwald and they still choose the other side so the kid gloves are off.

YES. Period. And you will see that when him and Dumbledore go at it in the last film. It will literally be the armageddon of magic duels, as it is stated in canon. In the words of Doc, you're gonna see some SERIOUS SHIT. Voldermort FAILED at taking over ONE FREAKING MAGICAL SCHOOL WITH CHILDREN. Grindlewald practically TAKES OVER THE WORLD AND HOLDS IT AT ONE POINT.

From what I say Tina uses accio to take the wand.

I believe that whilst using expelliarmus would have indeed disarmed Grindlewald, it wouldn't have caused the wand to go directly to Tina it would have just gone flinging off somewhere. So instead she used accio to bring the wand straight to her.

@@mintysausage1771 And if she uses expelliarmus she also would be the master of the elder wand so rowling found a solution for this by using accio on the Graves' wand on the floor.

Actually, I believe the thing is about how expelliarmus is to break hold of wand when opponent is concentrated and battling against you, when she used accio Grindelwald was already held by Newt's creature so not really in the duel stance and able to gain good hold of his wand...
