It's VBS Week! I decided to vlog our entire week, and let me tell you, this video is PACKED FULL. It includes a look at our routines, the VBS snacks i made, & the best part, a look into what goes into being on the VBS Drama Crew!

Smoked Cheeseball Recipe
2 8oz Cream Cheese, softened
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Liquid Smoke
4 oz Shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese
2 TBLS minced onion
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/3 cup chopped pecans (for garnish)
Mix together and chill. Roll the cheeseball in the chopped pecans! Serve with crackers
Fruit Dip Recipe🍇🍌🍍🍓🫐
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 (7 oz) jar of marshmallow creme
1 Tablespoon fresh orange juice
beat together and serve with fruit
🥨Ranch Pretzel Recipe🥨
3/4 cup olive oil
1 package of Ranch dressing mix
1/2 tsp dill weed
1/2 tsp lemon pepper
1/2 tsp garlic salt
30 oz pretzels
Combine first 5 ingredients. pour over pretzels and toss to coat. Bake at 250* F for 30 Mins, stir every 10 minutes.
Strawberry Lemonade Recipe🍓🍋🍹
3 cans of Lemonade concentrate. Prepare as the back of the can instructs
3 cups of washed, diced strawberries. I use a muddler, and mash the strawberries before adding to the lemonade. I let that sit for several hours before straining the strawberries out.

We did The Great Jungle Journey, also! This was our second year using Answers in Genesis, and we've really enjoyed it! (Our church tries not to include images of Jesus, and we noticed a few of those in the curriculum, but otherwise we've been pleased.) We have always had a music time for the children outside of the opening/closing, but we subbed in the science portion of the curriculum, and the children loved it!

Daryl looks fine no matter what: you look so much younger. VBS was such fun for me as a kid, I went to our local VBS’s. They are still poignant memories I have and I love that. My husband and I used to help out with our churches VBS. Truly moments we enjoyed! It’s your marriage but I like your hubby either way. My husband looks so much younger when he shaves. Sometimes it’s a shock.

We LOVE VBS - so many great memories are made and so many sweet thoughts/truths placed into little hearts. Im glad your church does VBS. My girls were so scared when my husband shaved his beard!

Hi Kim, Did you say a Mama of 2 boys? What happened to the 3rd one? Lol Darryl my son had a full beard at 15 in Jr high. I like the beard too. I’ve been at churches where they have prizes. It makes it so fun for the kiddos. Always check the carts first. lol just to let you in on a secret…..I got dizzy while you were driving. But it was a fun dizzy. Like going up and down big hills. Tea is missing ice. Kim, I love long videos. 113 student. That’s awesome! Wonderful video. Thank you. The week is always exhausting.

I have so much I want to comment about and im only 10 minutes in😅 first off I wish I could've been there to watch the drama show, hilarious when the guy couldnt get the names right!!😂 secondly, that shopping kart had me laughing!😂 I landed the same kind of kart in Walmart just yesterday! My Goodness was it ever the loudest clunkiest cart 😳 😂 people probably though I put an engine on that thing😂

I taught VBS all the years my children went and I miss it. I might have to start up again in our new town. It’s hard enough learning the lyrics to the VBS songs. Kudos to you and Daryl for learning lines to the skits. Also, my husband shaved his beard one just to see if he liked it and my then 1 year old son cried. lol. He grew it back and it’s been 15 years and counting 🧔🏻‍♂️
