Pakistan's economy is in turmoil - everything is expensive, and poor get affected the most - yet look at the kindness and generosity of ordinary Pakistanis. Pakistanis deserve so much better than the corrupt government and politicians they get.

Hey Phil, commenting from Scotland, a Glaswegian Pakistani here. I haven’t visited Pakistan in 15 years so i’m glad to see it through you with such positivity. Some vegetarian suggestions, dhaal which you already know is lentils. There’s a whole range. Aloo tikki which is a potato ‘kebab’, aloo bengan (potato and aubergine), aloo gobi (potato and cauliflower curry), pindi tori(lady fingers) and so much more. Desserts are usually suitable too. Might be an idea to Google a few things and learn how to pronounce it before you head out? Just so you don’t end up eating meat by accident! Looking forward to watching the rest of your experience. Also, I love your confidence with just trying things on the street…very brave 😂 I hope your stomach survives! X

I'm surprised who are suggesting you these old and far places to visit from DHA. There are many places around DHA, where you can find awesome food.

@Phil......................... DAAL means Lentil in English. The Lentil you had on table was Yellow lentil but there are Green Lentil, Red Lentil , Off white lentil as well. As Far as cooking is concerned, Every DAAL has chilies (red and green ) with fried onions. You can also try KARHEE which has a kind of flour donut soaked in a solution of lentil. It is very tasty. You will love this. Also look for CHEESE PARATHA, CHOCOLATE PARATHA

'Daal' is a general name for pulses.For example there's chana daal,which is chick peas,masoor daal which is lentils,moong daal is mung,lobia or rajma is red kidney beans,plus many others. Please don't drink water and lassi( pronounced lussi ) from 'anywhere' let alone street takeaways.BTW you are the only Westerner who can scoop the food so well with a paratha etc.Keep safe.
