The intro graphics on these are always amazing

this was my favourite in review, it was so satisfying going on the journey with belinda. soon as it was over in the theatre, i couldn't wait to hear what she thought. after hearing her/the crews on the whole series, i couldn't wait to see what the KF crew thought.

You guys should’ve also included the Toy Story of Terror shorts and Toy Story that Time Forgot short in these reviews. They’re super cute and follow the toys after Toy Story 3, but before Toy Story 4.

Playing Woody's theme song at the end with Bow and him was so good.

It's a really good movie but for some reason I just didn't love it. I wanted to but couldn't. Maybe it was the plot being something I found not special and predictable and convenient. I don't know. I had a good time but definitely nowhere near the way I felt leaving Toy Story 3. It was the funniest tho. It totally felt like an epilogue that we didn't need

Key and Peele's characters had me laughing soo hard. I loved this movie!

The toys searching for purpose and existential answers made them more metaphorical than ever and helped this movie elevate above the prior ones. You don’t need new ground in plot when you have this newfound level of depth. Thematically this one was far richer than 1 and 2, only 3 was comparable. 1 and 2 are (albeit great) child’s movies compared to 3 and 4. That last scene alone between Forky and the new Knife (Knifey?) really encapsulates what made 4 so special in general as a whole. These characters, whether toys or utensils, feel as real and dimensional as any humans. This movie without question justified itself as an entry that needed to exist.

Nick left out the best part for Buzz, when Bonnie's mom goes to put Buzz into a cupboard for "acting up" and he yells "You left your Backpack at the Antique Store!!" hahahaha then Bonnie is like I left my backpack!! haha

I laughed so hard at the thought of Andy just confused wondering around a theater. But in truth we've all been there papi.

Cant believe Andy himself became a lost toy.

The toys have lost so many arms and what not throughout the series that I never thought Woody’s life was in any real risk when losing the voice box, especially when he consents once he understands Gabby better. Sid’s toys alone have been through much worse and are still alive. The toys have never seemed to feel as much (if any) physical pain as us. And you could tell Gabby wasn’t trying to con Woody when she was going through his history, she was genuine which was why Woody consented. Someone that genuine wouldn’t try to kill you, and her story made her a much better antagonist than prior ones.

They’re all such great storytellers but Andy’s theater story had me laughing so hard! Love you guys. Thank you for getting us through this pandemic. I found y’all in February of this year and I fell in love with y’all’s personalities. Thank you for getting me through this year. Merry Christmas y’all ❤️

I completely disagree with them that this didn’t need to be made. I think Woody getting his closure and learning that taking the leap and learning to fly on your own (without an owner) and saying goodbye to Buzz was a great send off. As much as I love 3 this story still should’ve been told. And I’m glad they did.

I agree with Tim and disagree with the rest. The fact that they give you a contained story and the Woody, who started it all and deserved the send off he got, with Bo Peep dynamic was a great story and maybe on a repeat viewing will be more revered for how much they leave everyone out of it including buzz

I was so surprise at how much I loved Toy Story 4. I honestly think this might just be the most consistently great movie franchise EVER, I can't think of any other series that is so good without any stumbles. 1. Toy Story 3 - 10/10 2. Toy Story - 10/10 3. Toy Story 4 - 9/10 4. Toy Story 2 - 8.5/10

I loved Toy Story 4. Sure the plot was iffy and there was way too much focus on Woody, but I still really enjoyed it. I feel like it was the most ''oh are these your feeling? *drops them on the ground and steps on them* oops sorry" of the franchise. Also, Belinda was great. I hope you guys bring her back for more content sometime.

The original Toy Story last?? Wow...

This was my least favourite toy story movie I love toy story I have watched the first one 100s of times but this movie was really not needed. Bo story of what happened to her could of been told in a 30min short. I’m shocked I didn’t love a toy story movie.

First off, we need more Belinda on KF. Secondly, I need that shirt she's wearing. Lastly, y'all made me spit-laugh with that last "BAGUUUU!" in the Ragu Bagu theme song this time. I fucking love you guys

If any of them ever felt like a TV movie, it would be part 2. There are way too many scenes that drag out at Al’s between Woody and the round up gang, it gets very boring. Prospector/Al are also the weakest villains/antagonists. The climactic race to reach Andy’s moving truck in 1 was such a high that 2 never even get close to achieving.

The movie moved too fast. I feel like the scenes weren’t fully developed, and they could have taken out some plot points in order to develop some of the important plot points more fully. My least favorite Toy Story, but still good.

not the best toy story

Its Amazing but think its my least favorite Toy Story Film. Don't get me wrong still a 9/10 Film like the rest of them but felt it was missing the core cast. I do love the new characters they were either funny or interesting but didn't love it as much as Toy Story 3 which i cried too and felt the first two's Adventures just were more interesting. But just my two cents

I wish Nick would more deeply explain his "uncanny valley" point of view. He's mentioned it a bunch, but he hasn't really said why he thinks it's bad for animated movies, like Toy Story. I'm genuinely interested to hear his thoughts more in depth on it, since he has a deeper understanding of actual production and animation. He doesn't give himself enough credit on how intelligent he is about this stuff.

Toy Story 4 takes a character who’s arc had always been centered on and expressed through one relationship, and asks what that person does with themselves when that relationship is over and can never be recaptured. In a way it’s almost meta- Woody let go of Andy, but not the self-perception of what he was *for* Andy. In a way his attitude is that of someone who watched the end of Toy Story 3 and firmly believed there was nowhere else to go with Woody’s character, and he struggles against the idea that there’s anything worth doing, or any story worth telling, after that “perfect ending.” I wonder to what degree maybe the team at PIXAR almost *forced* themselves to do a 4th movie just to see if they could- if at any point in the process the Woody we’re left with at the end of 3 really did feel like a complete character who needed no further growth.

Not many of the jokes actually hit for me. I found most of Forky annoying and the stuffed animals to me were just not funny to me.

This is the worst Toy Story in the Series. It’s got some of the funniest jokes but the Story is just awful.

Worst Toy Story movie. Best way to describe it? What if Toy Story 2 was written by a sociopath (and had worse editing)? That's Toy Story 4. Characters are no longer what they were before and almost every word spoken is the writers talking to the audience. Why was this made? They ended it so strong with 3 and now they abandoned the thread of the trilogy and bastardized the characters for what, a quick buck? So dissapointed.

Probably my least favorite of the series. Wasn't bad, but it was too long and just didn't feel like it needed to happen.

I can't believe that this movie is getting praise. The animation looks incredible but that's about where the praise should stop. The plot ignores the previous movies, introduces a character from the first with a completely different personality, Buzz and Co. have about 3 lines in the whole movie. Woody isn't Woody. They make a weird point of Bonnie playing with everyone but Woody. Why? She loved him at the end of the third the most out of them all. And now she is just not playing with him at all? Not that he isn't the favourite but that he is being completely ignored. Makes no sense. It's just to set up a stupid existential crises movie because everyone these days "has depression" and "anxiety" and doesn't know why "their alive". It's a movie for millenials made by millenials. The jokes are memes, the plot is weak, the characters are misused. Personalities have changed from the last movie with no explanation. It's like the B team at Pixar came in on the weekend and got into the Toy Story assets and crammed a bunch of crap together. I can not understand why anyone thinks this movie is good. It takes well rounded characters from the series and destroys them and everyone is giving them a 9/10 for it. Ridiculous.
