We’re almost ready to start our new school year, and we are so excited that my little guy is joining us for more structured table time this year! He’s only 4 so we’re taking it slow, and allowing him to set the pace. 😊

Ohhh how fun! I loved the big kindergarten book with my oldest, I want to use it again for my son when he’s ready.

I have been told by school teachers I could have skipped a couple of grades. My special Ed child study said no so quote special needs. My grandad got really upset. U held her back won’t let her skip couple grades?. I pro could graduate county college a year early or four year college a year or two early. I have the same integlences my great grandfather had . I have been advocating school choice for special needs students better education. Outside of the school system.

Do you have a curriculum you move into after teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons? We are about halfway through and I’m starting to wonder where to go from here! I know there’s book recommendations in the back. How was the transition to regular books for your second grader?

We started using a language arts curriculum and I think that really threw him off, because the approach was so different. He lost so much confidence. We had to take several steps back to fill in gaps and sturdy the foundation. I honestly don’t think it was the book alone that created those gaps, so that’s why we’re trying it again with my little one. This time around, I plan on having my little guy take a placement test for a new curriculum after he’s done and sort of pick up where this one leaves him.
