“Seeing your reflection in the eyes of the suffering.” Mr. Hartman, I think Mr. Rogers left you a double portion of his spirit. You’re starting to cross that line between imparting information and making us better people. Just fantastic ✨

I'm so sad that this is the end. I really hope that Steve rethinks this and does more of these. I love his stories and how he ties it all together and his children are so adorable and really add to the lessons in meaningful ways. Please don't let this be the end!!!!

Great stories I watched them all but the two that I loved the most were Patriotism and Compassion. It would be sad if these did not continue later on in the year. Your Children were great in all especially Patriotism you have taught them well. I am a veteran and 69 years old and was taught most of these lessons as a young man by a Gentlemen named James Stanley Williams who passed away at the age of 101. You are truly a remarkable man and father there will be a special place for you in heaven...

Steve, George, Emmett, and Meryl, you have given us hope--much more than our leaders the last few yers have given us. And it was good to see these videos again (I'm a fan of OTRWSH!) in a different context. I'm sure your viewers hope that you'll do it again--and soon!!!!

You give me hope that broadcast journalism can be a positive medium again. Love that you stated what your new purpose is - and it suits you perfectly. Your CBS Sunday Morning spots were the main reason I watched the show and the only segment I looked forward to. You need your own show!! Everyone needs your brand of content. Thanks, Steve and your wonderful children, for bringing us content worthy of sharing and to learn from. You have made the world a better place and we are grateful.

This video is 2 years old now, but so very much needed today. Children are very easily influenced, for good or for bad. Too many children lack the adult supervision and teaching that used to be so important to parents. Today, many parents are too busy with their own careers and desires to have time to spend teaching and nourishing their children. It is not the churches or the schools job to do this! Television and the internet are not influencing our children in the right way. As an older Christian mom, I appreciate your desire to help. Thank you, Mr. Hartman!

Steve Hartman, your stories are amazing, I work with kids and I find that so many parents are not teaching their children any of these values, when we look at what is happening in America today, it is absolutely imperative that we instill these values in our children. Racism is still so prevalent in America and it needs to be addressed head on otherwise things will not change. We need more love, compassion and empathy towards each other because the bottom line is, we are all the same, created by God in His image and He doesn’t see us differently. Thank you so very much and may God continue to bless you and your beautiful children in all you do.
