When he is sliding around in the ice and he is so happy he found her. This is the ONLY joy he’s ever known. I get so emotional over it. I feel so sorry for him because of what will happen next. I break down every time.

My favorite scene in the entire film. In a small moment of silence Kong and Ann both forget about everything happening around them and are having fun together, not knowing how it will all end makes it all the sadder.

Look at Kong's eyes! They really look alive and filled with emotion. The CGI is amazing in this.

Compare this scene to when they first met. In the beginning, Kong was so rough and shook Ann around like a rag doll without a care in the world. Now, he's super gentle with her and looks at her with a loving passion in his eyes and enjoys being with her.

Do not forget, this movie was made almost 2 decades ago... When I see King Kong and how smooth he moves and how smooth his hairs move with airflow, my jaw drops in wonder! How did Peter Jackson able to generate such a level of detail with King Kong! Its nothing less than magic

Despite not doing any ice skating herself, I can tell that Ann was having a blast. Plus, when she and Kong reunited and he gently picked her up, it looked like this was the one moment where she was glad to be held by him.

I remember when I was young, my late father was the one who introduced to me this film. I was a fan of this when I was a child because I wanted to become a veterinarian and I have the heart for the animals. Now that I'm in my 20s, for some reason I like it even more. I guess it's because of my maturity and perception that gives depth and more meaning in this scene. This never gets old! ♡

This scene always make me cry. Fantastic movie, after all these years it's look's real and feels REAL. Look in King's eyes in this scene, this is a proper way to make CGI that makes you feel sorry for this amazing giant. Naomi was a wonderful choice for Ann, she imagined everything and made it's so believable.

This scene alone is already worth the 3 hour watch.. Relations between animals and humans are pure. Its not about words that can influence and manipulate each other.. its about a feeling.. a spiritual feeling that both animal and human understand. has nothing to do with "the need of something from someone, so the approach is selfish and unnatural with the intention to make yourself better.. Its about being together... Something we humans forgot with all our indoctrinations and addictions. We need gratification in everything.. cant just simply enjoy simple things anymore. Btw the scenes between Naomi Watts and king kong were the only thing interesting to me.. the rest of the film is quite bullshit. Specially Jack black and Adrien Brody were bad casts in my opinion.

People may call the ice scene a big lipped alligator moment, but I love it. The only time we ever see Kong completely happy after he was stolen from his home and had to wander in a world unlike any he had ever seen.
