King Motors Baja - It's got an RCMK engine, front disc brakes and Major Issues. CAN I FIX IT?

I picked this up about a year ago and have never made a full video on this. This is a LET GO deal and will go get it together for exactly 300 bucks. I have had some issues with this thing over the past year but it's finally rebuilt and running as it should. The main thing that worried me as soon as I got it in 2019 was the radio glitch that caused signal loss and would kill the engine because of the killer bee kill switch. I have since sorted it out and worked out many other current issues, lets watch, and wait for more. Question is, how fast is this baja? I have no clue yet, but I know it will do over 40, speed test soon.

hey my guy!! Yup, it took me a whole year to film and make this video, I just forgot about it while I was busy with all the broken nitros, LOL. BTW, at the time of pickup the only issue it had was the radio kill switch glitch from the bad signal. It only recently developed the non-starting issue and the broken pullstart. All in all, I think it's good value. Place your bet on the top speed I will be getting on this, my current top speed champ is the 30CC rovan baja at 44 MPH.

hey bro! I sure hope you do. The first time I saw a baja up close I was amazed. Eventhe bargain ROVAN baja is incredible. It's very reliable and easy to run compared to nitro (overall).

thanks for watching my dude! I got alot more on this soon, I am doing long term testing on the fake 990 carb, so many myths about how bad they are, we need to know finally. So far I am happy with the performance, so IDK what all the negativity is about so far.

hey bro!! Thanks! Believe it or not, I ave not even tuned the high speed needle yet on this fake 990 carb. So far I've been running it at least every other day to see if the myths about the fake walbro carbs are true, and so far this thing seems to perform really well. I'm not a BAJA master tech but I can't seem to find anything wrong with it so far, you know.

Hey bro! you gotta get on that, don't take a year like I did, lol. I was up to my eye-balls in rc repairs and this took a back seat (literally, ahah). Anyway, my video are views are down like 80%, IDK why. This was a great video with a good story and good results. Place your bet on how fast you think this is? My current top speed BAJA is the rovan 30CC at 44 MPH, but with taller tires.

Hey Hybrid! What a great grab for 3 bills! I love the setup on the front breaks and does it have back breaks too? I have a KM T2000 with the 30.5 and it rips I don't think I have had it at full speed yet! I bought nice set of knobbies for it but I may put the originals on and find a spot to open it up! 🤔😉👍 Great video and info! 👍

hey man! The 29CC banggood one and the KM001 are very similar. I prefer the knobby tires on the 29CC model and the pipe on the 29CC model. Both engines are good, they perform about the same. Check my newer vids I included a link and a discount code of 10% for the 29CC model. I might go run mine today, your comment made me want to give it a run.

Is it better to run with ethanol fuel or non ethanol fuel. Because where I live they non ethanol

hey bro! It is highly recommended to run fuel WITHOUT ethanol for all these GAS RCs. The ethanol tends to rot and eat away the rubber components of the carb itself, which was not designed to run ethanol mixed fuels. Trust me, try to run ZERO ethanol if possible. IN my case all the fuel in my area has ethanol, and about every 3 years the carb needs to be replaced..

I like how you showed everything working before you drove it my favorite part was watching the front brakes move and did you put an extra M at the end of the video in the word coming to annoy me lol

hey man! I'll be sure to show more of the front brake system In the next few videos as I try to tune them for more stopping power. They may seem good, but the sliding you saw at the end was mostly on wet grass, on pavement they need alot more stopping power. I've also noticed this baja has terrible rear brakes, and the upper chassis plate near the brake disc is cracked.

hey bro!! Yes, the overall engine layout and design is similar. But these Rc specific engines tend to be higher RPM and produce more power. Lawn equipment is usually just a single RPM power band, these need to be pretty flexible for all conditions. Otherwise the carb systems and such are similar, yes.

hey bro Long time no talk, how you been? Anyway, I figured I would offer the 350 If there was no issues, once he told me about the radio glitching and the kill switch being activated, I knew to just offer the 300 and see what happens. Luckily the radio glitch turned out to be the crimped antenna wire. I hate messing with the kill switch wiring, but this killer bee model is quite easy to deal with and setup.

Oh yes, the first thing I learned in Marketing and Management classes is to never think the customer is dumb. In this case, I knew the problems, I knew what it would take and cost to repair them and that's why I offered the 300 bucks.

Also king motor came with rcmk 28.5 engines in 2014 never a 30.5, ask Dan.... I don't believe that's a 30.5

I will do some research on this matter. I really don't know, I was not into the gas RCs back then. All I know is this motor Kicks AS* compared to the Redcat motors, and even the rovan. Even the fake 990 carb I got seems to be good, I've had no weird thing issues so far. More on this baja soon, you'll see some good runs.

hey dude, how you doing! This BAJA is kicking ASS these days, lol, you gotta look up the newer vids on this, it will blow you away. Anyways I only use the proper NGK CMR7H plugs as these are meant for, not sure if when I first picked it up it had a diff plug or not, but you're right,. thanks.

hey my dude! Turns out the owner is a friend of one of my RC buddies, so that's how this went down the way it did. Anyway let me tell you a few negatives about it, it needed a whole new radio system, and lots of brake adjustment. Also I noticed the rear brake holder mount was cracked, needless to say I put in lots of fine DETAIL work into this baja. Also the carb needed to be replaced after a little while due to a bad diaphragm, over time. Also at this time a brand new ROVAN baja 30CC was selling for around 400ish, so 300 for a used Older model with an unknown engine history and bad radio gear is VERY FAIR.

Wish I could find a used 5b for $300 the cheapest ones on eBay are $699 now. Wish you lived closer you could run one of my big gas rc cats with me! I do have a redcat rampage mt as well.
