East coast of the US. Love all types of shooting, and really enjoy/appreciate the long range precision. Some input on the editing, it would be awesome to know the bullet ballistics (which, how fast, etc in the setup briefs). For the shooting, a recap of your Mils at those distances would be excellent to know too. As for the camera angles at the target, highlighting the target would be helpful and tracking below you Impact/Miss especially as you get to final stage. Nd knowing how many rounds you have remaining. I appreciate it’s some more editing work, but I would find it very informative and increase the insights/enjoyment! Well done overall. And keeping your lovely bride happy is a definite HIT! Happy wife, happy life. 😊

I enjoy your non-macho, gun gorilla style. That was some mean wind you contended with and great you didn't edit out the misses. Brings forth the reality of the LR/ELR endeavor. I can shoot the mile in calm winds and with everything as good as I can get it at my level, but first round hits at that distance is still a challenge. Great job!

Watching from Iceland, I have done a bit of PRS shooting since 2021 when we started a small league that has now been inducted into the European series. I Run an APW brake on my match rifle and use APW mandrels in my reloading routine.

Thanks Piet, I enjoyed watching this. That wind looked like it made for difficult conditions at a mile. I have not yet stretched to a mile but I am looking for a suitable mile range. I have a Howa 1500 in 6.5 PRC, 24" bbl, Oryx chassis and I am just about ready to try.

Love these vids! Live in the smack middle of Sweden and shoot long range with my sporterized Mauser M96 (6,5-55) that I bought from the military1986! Remade the bottom with a magazine well out of an old Opel inner fender to accept a sectioned AI mag. New bolt handle and changed to a match barrel. Later me and my brother took a Corse in stock making so now it sports a home made competition stock. Love the gun and as it has been getting heavier the 6,5 is like shooting 22lr... :-) Looking to invest in some sort of 300NM build though...

I took what I learned from watching your videos and made it fit me. On October I5th 2023 I shot a 2x4 foot target at a distance of 1 mile. I am now a member of the 1 mile club baby!! Viewing from Utah,USA. Great video! I’ve just built a full custom PRS rifle chambered in 6 dasher. A shot counter for this configuration of match would be sweet. Maybe even a dope tracker to help fill in the gap if you feel the videos are boring. Pretty sweet set up tho! Keep up the hard work man!

I'm watching from Idaho USA. I enjoy long range shooting/hunting and nrl22/nrl22x. I've had some very nice custom rifles. I've shot a soda can at 1000 yards with a custom 308 i had. Did it on the 3rd shot. I currently hunt elk with my 6.5 creed using 140 eldm factory ammo that shoots amazing in my rifle. Looking to add a custom 7mm PRC because I refuse to go back to reloading and prc factory ammo has been known to shoot excellent. My big focus though is nrl22. Seeking after that "perfect" match. I enjoy this content. May not be the first thing I watch but when I'm in the mood see some excellent shooting I tune in.

Watching from the southeast coast in the US. I mostly to pistol competition (USPSA, IDPA, etc) but my preferred sport is 3-gun. I don’t do much ‘long range’ stuff because on the coast we just don’t have the facilities available. Still fun watching though.

I live in Tennessee in the US. I would love to get into this type of shooting but the longest distance range I know of has a maximum of 1000 yds. It's a members only range with a long waiting list as well. Pity!

Greetings from Oregon, Pieter! I have a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor, and a Vortex 4x16x44 scope. The longest I've hit is 1500 yards. I'd love to learn how to shoot better and try a competition before I hit 70. (That's only a couple of years of btw). Edit: stupid spell check misspelled your name at first before I beat it into submission.

Cool camera angles. I just shot out to 1000 yards and everywhere in between this AM in Wilson, NC. Dedicated distance range with a 25 foot tower to shoot out of. Do you see your DOPE change when shooting elevated, mathematically should be negligible?

Hey Pieter, I am looking to build a rifle to shoot in long range matches and was wondering your opinion between the 28 sherman magnum and the 30 sherman magnum. The furthest target is at 2100 yards with the closest being just past 800. Which do you think would be the better pick between the two, if I could build both I totally would but the budget doesn't allow for it.
