Join New York Times bestselling-author Michael Tougias for this talk about the war between the Colonists and Native Americans in 1675-76, one of the bloodiest conflicts in American history.
Michael discusses the Native Americans' way of life, Colonial settlements, events leading up to the war, battles, the strategy and the sites which can still be visited today.
He is the author and co-author of 29 non-fiction books including the The Finest Hours: The True Story of the Coast Guard’s Most Daring Rescue (now a Disney movie).
This program was funded by the Duxbury Cultural Council.

Mike is very knowledgeable about this subject. When he first started out I read his work in my local weekly paper and knew he would be a famous author.

I wonder if Pracilla is related to my great Grandpa John James Mullens. My 9th great grandfather fought in King Phillips War. He was in Saybrook in 1623. He became a founder of Norwich. My 8th great grandma would be William Bradford's Granddaughter, Alice Ripley. And my 7th great grandpa fought in the Revolutionary War. I've actually identified almost ALL of my ancestors going back to 10th generation in every branch. I know where they came from and where they first landed in America. I bet my 10th and 9th great grandparents never imagined they'd have a descendamt living in Washington State over 400 years later.

In the narrative of Mary Rowlandson, what evidence is there of instances where she empathizes with the narrative american point of view?
