I can't understand how he never got an Award for his performance as Ragnar. He carried the show so hard, it's crazy.

Am I the only one that noticed when he was saying his "NOT YOU"'s to everyone, he left Bjorn out, because he knows his son would follow him to hell and back, regardless of the plan in place. What a beautiful relationship they had.

Ragnar is simply brilliant because he knew this would happen: that they would fail taking the city. So he gave his Earls and Floki the freedom to devise the strategies and battle plans (earlier episode, he set them up to fail). So he gave them their say and followed their ideas and they failed, now he has total control because everything up until now wasn't possible without Ragnar and they know it. (I really feel that Ragnar is smarter than he pretends to be especially with political manoeuvring he's always watching and anticipating, love it!)

A great king is one who doesn't want to be king. Just like Ragnar.

By far the greatest actor I have ever seen. The scene where Ragnar says goodbye to his daughter, The scene where Ragnar says goodbye to Athelstan, the who wants to be king scene, and of course the scenes where Ragnar says his finale goodbyes. Are all examples of this actors talent. He somehow makes every scene feel real. From the tears to getter choked up before crying. They are done amazingly well. How anyone can display such real emotion in a scripted moment. Is just crazy. I wish we could have had at least one more season with Ragnar. But when you are doing a show based around historical events. It pretty much limits the options of the show makers. Either way Vikings is a good show but I don’t know if it would have been as good as it was without this actors portrayal of the Ragnar character.

This is by far one of my favorite scenes in the series. Travis nailed those lines

Best thing about Ragnar is his patience and brilliant ideas ( even though I have read Bjorn is actually the one that acted out this particular plan in real life). But best thing about Travis is everything. His acting is outstanding, he is more than nice to look at on screen, THOSE EYES!!!!, and facial expressions. He is a very convincing actor and seems like a very fun and enjoyable person to be around. And of course a very good-looking man.

Travis Fimmel is literally one of the BEST actors I've come across ever since Jet Li. In "Sons Of Anarchy", he's flawless and his attitude and character is exactly the same as in "Vikings". Even in real life he stays IC. This man really deserves to be in so many more movies.

The brain of Ragnar is literally visible outside his skull, like an aura you can both see and feel his thoughts pumping and evolving into reality. The creativity and logic this man had was and still is beyond the general human being.

I binged this whole series during quarantine. Im glad I was able to savor it all at once cause DAMN, if Vikings isn't some of the best TV in the last decade. To be honest, I prefer the last seasons of Vikings to the last seasons of GOT. Ivar is just...perfection.
