This brings tears to my eyes. If I could have witnessed one Biblical event, I would have been with the shepherds when the Heavenly Host descended. Good men, who did right by God and Jesus.

And to think how beautiful the singing of the Angels must have been! Considering how beautiful THIS singing is, and to know the Angels are so much more beautiful...ah, it challenges/defies the imagination! Heaven will be great.... The best Christmas hymn of praise of all, in fact the only "Authorized" one until the 18th century. Simple Biblical based text and metre, unliked some of the saccharine renditions of the later carols.
