Definitely, it hurts like a bitch. I was thrown off a pony once, and he bit me in the thigh, super painful. I also got road rash as we were on gravel and because I was wearing a bikini at the time, so it was not a fun day for me. 😢

STREWTH!! Having been bitten, kicked, stepped on, thrown, even rolled on once, I can tell you. Horses can be very sharp! And heavy. These tourons have NO idea just how fortunate they are to still have their fingers! Watch the EARS, people!

It's more a nip, if he did actually bite he'd break their arm. Horses have a bite force stronger than a Rottweiler, so if they intentld on doing damage,they absolutely will.. a nip still hurts though, it breaks the skin. Mine has done it to me before because someone was giving him treats when he hadn't earned them, so when I didn't give him one, he nipped my arm.. And then all hell came down upon him and he hasn't done it again.

I got nipped once by Rojo, a 17 hand tall Shire/Percheron cross and even though it was a "Stop crowding me, human!" warning, I was black and blue for a couple of weeks! And yes, EVERY nip needs to be corrected instantly. He was. But the warning was MY FAULT! I should have been more careful.

Do you understand that they have to live in a stable in the middle of a town, inbetween strangers, traffic, all different smells, moving objects, ... trained or not, is is FAR from their natural habitat. Horses hear till 20 times better than humans, they SMELL a fiew THOUSAND times better than humand, they CAN'T look forward, ... YES, this is torture. I hope you learned something today. Knowing animals name and yhinking that you know that animal... childish.

​@@becky2235From what I've seen on these videos, they usually don't answer out loud. They'll nod almost imperceptably or make a small gesture with the rein hand. Sometimes they ll mouth a word or two. It's all done very subtly.

And more would never have seen a real living horse with a member of one of the mounted regiments in ceremonial kit. So of course some want to have a picture of themselves near the horse. It's human nature.

He's not trying very hard to bite people. He's figured out a new tactic of head butting and an air nip. Very well executed, Arni is an expert communicator

Do you find it funny, torturing an animal that is apparently not expected to respond? I, and probably the guardsman, rider too, find it irritating and annoying that these people without brains think it's hilarious to poke and prod a horse for the sake of an appearance on Social media!

I've said it before and will say it, sadly its the women who are the most stupid and moronic AND THINK ABOUT IT. Its the guard who has the reins and is in charge, so it could very well be he that whips the horses head round and the horse does as he's told. Why else would the Guard laugh when the horse tried to have a nip at the other Guard.
