I just ordered the white version from Kingsong USA. This will be a nice addition to my Sondors Fold Sport and Segway miniPro. I have a feeling I won't be riding the Segway much after getting the S18...also subbed to this channel too.

Don't forget to use the "block" supplied to hold suspension down so you don't need to sit on the unit to pump suspension. Shame I didn't work that out at the first time round!

My KS18 came with only a chamber (top) on the shock., do you have any idea how to inflate it by any chance..? Thank you and congratulations for you video!!!

I thought there was going to be a block of plastic to wedge into the suspension so it doesn’t trap the pump when pressurising it?

You need to remove metal block in "pedal hold" part, to relese suspension. We were informed about this by Kingsong engineer in the telegram chat. And you don't have to sit on the wheel. The kit includes a special block that prevents the wheel from straightening for pumping the shock. My wheel out of the box had a pressure of 1 bar in the wheel. Which is not enough, so advise not to pump it up, bad idea.

Great video! THANKS! I do have questions though: How often do I check tyre and suspensions? How to maintaince suspensions?

When its a new wheel you can check the tire and suspensions once a month. The older is gets its recommended to check as often as once week to once a day. Just give the suspensions a good squeeze to see if it needs any air added. As for maintenance, greasing the suspension rod will do just fine.

HEY! i just got mine in the new batch after they fixed some issues, and im not able to move mine up and down. Also the loose part that you mention isnt there and the bottom part of it looks a bit different... do i need to push harder or did they change something with this new batch? EDIT: nevermind, i just used a hammer to move it :)

One of the bolts on my pedal is stripped. I don't know why they would tighten it so hard. Now I can't change the pedal height anymore...

I noticed the app has a kingsong music switch. I assumed it was to play music via the S18 speakers but I never got it to go. Is it possible to play music through the s18 speakers?

Did the wheel come with the pedals at the lowest height? I have this wheel and would rather not take it apart. The lowest height is optimal for me.

How can you get an accurate pressure reading off of the shock when you were sitting and adding pressure on the the shock?

This is a tough one, as King Song has changed their recommended method of pumping up the suspension a few times, but the pressure chart has not changed. Initially they instructed that the shock should be completely extended before inflating through an access hole in the shell, now they instruct to compress it so that the valves remain accessible through the back, even though this will change the pressure readings. Either method will still work, but in our experience, the new "sit on the wheel" method or the brick method that King Song's official video guide uses seem to give a better suspension feel. As always, these are just guides, and experimenting with pressures and filling methods yourself may result in a suspension feel that works better for you :)

My lock button just makes the shock harder to compress, it doesn't lock at all and I can't pump it to more than 200 psi. The pump simply can't do it, even at 130 it feels almost imposible to pump. Could that be the pump or the shock?

Just noticed the rubber on the suspension is bulging out a bit on one side. Any ideas?

The pump can require a bit of force to use, one tip is to make sure the pump is threaded completely onto the valve or you may build pressure inside the pump's hose without actually pumping up the suspension. Shoot us a message at www.euco.us/pages/support and we'll be sure to help you out!

I only managed to pump up to 120 psi... So tired. Never exceed above it. 2. While I pump until about 80 psi, then the pump mouth will go inside the steel part. Then very hardly to remove. Someone can help

Were you able to figure it out? The block helped me so the shock was able to stay still so i can pump withut getting thsat medalk caught in the back.

1. Kingsong confirmed with me that there are THREE options for height. The lowest setting does not have a screw hole, rather a slot. 2. Why didn't you use the plastic block provided, and instructed by Kingsong when adjusting the shock?

1. There may have been a hardware revision that wasn't present on the unit used in this video, which would explain why our unit only had two options. 2. King Song has changed their recommended method for pumping up the suspension a few times, all of which are valid. This is just one method, the others being the brick method, and the old-style "pump-through-the-hole" method where the suspension is fully extended and the top chamber is inflated through an access cutout in the shell.

@@EUCOllective As far as #1 is concerned. I will say, it doesn't really look like it is supposed to support 3 positions. There are two holes with a slot beneath them, so one side will not have a screw in a slot on the lower setting. However, as you said, these are not structurally necessary, so it's not a big deal. This is why I confirmed with KS. Thanks!

@@EUCOllective Although all three methods do work, the pressure in the shock changes depending on the compression, so the plastic brick method, or the pump-through-the-hole method, will provide a more consistent/repeatable setup, since the compression will be consistent at the time of pumping and measurement.

The main power cable from the board to the wheel centre was damaged on mine from opening the box ( wheel centre end cable ). I can see the green cable inside the outer grey protective sheath, the outer protective wire is also damaged. No copper wire is exposed. The peddle is also hard to open same side due to rubbing on the peddle hinge and the chassis. It’s funny as when I opened the box and lifted the wheel out a screw fell on the floor. That made me look into it in more detail. I am a quality engineer for a aerospace company. I’m not happy with it and I’m going to send it back for a replacement. I will not be confident in riding it as there could be other issues I can’t see.

the only defect for me was that the grip tape on both pedals was peeled off a bit on the edges but it wasnt a problem since it stuck back on especially after i put my feet on the pedals. One more is that the peft pedal was stiff when unfolding and folding and the other worked losely and attached with a magnet like its supposed to. im hoping to fix the left pedal issue when i dissasemble the pedals to make them higher. EDIT: loosening the grub screw fixed my issue

with the wheel on if you plug the charger does the wheel,take charge ?

Yes, the wheel will remain balancing if you plug in the charger while the motor is engaged, and charge up. However, if the wheel is powered off and back on, it will not balance until the charger is unplugged.

I am developing a battery pack that will behave exactly like the charger , with a capacity of 1000 Wh that will be carried in a back pack. With this external pack it will solve the issue of the limited battery capacity of the S18 by doubling his capacity

You have to check if your wheel is still functional when you plug the charger. For my INMOTION V10F when I plug the charger the wheel turn off . For this specific wheel I got a solution that I am testing right now

Top chamber 180-200psi. Bottom 30% of that = not what you say at 4:04 :-) @9:10 i would DEFENITELY put LOCTITE on that screw. Single screw making sure Pedal shaft stays 🙈

Meant to say 30-50% - feel free to experiment! Loctite isn't a bad idea but the thread is fairly long. As long as you do regular maintenance you'll be able to catch it before it falls.

The very first production S18s have begun to arrive at customers' doors! Air-shipped orders will arrive more quickly, but this is encouraging news, since it means King Song is in full production mode and units are actively being sent out. You are keeping wrong way... Negative chamber must be pumped only when suspension fully released in upper position. Firstly pump upper chamber to 150-180psi. Release Sl8, or lift up it. Only after that you should pump lower chamber to acceptable 50-60psi. Than sit to wheel again and pump whatever you want to upper chamber :) Good luck

You forgot to mention that currently setup fro this wheel starts from complete disassamling of suspension and 1) removing already damaged factory bearings to new ones 2) changing grovers with new parts that won't damage bearings 3) bending and/or milling pedal and suspension rails carrier part for allowing vertical movement of suspension on rails not in 1/2 range but in full height or/and 4) at least removing metal blocks from suspension rails carrier part that lead to extra bending of it and blocking vertical movement of suspension. All this data comes from the first 100 wheels that has come to Russia a week ago and according to the first feedback and disassabling experience all the wheels are affected by this from a box in a "suspension still partially working and can be used for big bumps" to "suspension is completely blocked and not working" range.

Reaching out everywhere i can for help, my kingsong s18 stopped working in less than 30 days! Will not balance at all. I reached out by email to euco but have received no response. Feeling devastated.
