I used a 8MM socket to hammer down my bearings, no issue and super easy

I tried the same thing! With, and without extensions, even greased everything - mine must have been abnormally tight.

One more subscriber for you 👍 This arrived just at the right time 😃 I've only just started putting the 3D printed version together. I prefer to do the aluminium version but getting them here (other side of the world - hot and sunny here!) is just too much. Do you have the CNC files / Drawing? You made me think that I could get them made here. The 'tyres' on the bearings. Where did they come from? The 3D printed version I'm using doesn't look like it will last all that long. Keep up with the good work 😎

Put the sliders in the freezer and the rolers in warm water then they just slide on. By simply hammering the bearings on, you collapse the aluminum pin. and thats why its so hard to get them on.

There is an easier way to remove the wheel. Search KZfaq for 'Easier way to remove the Kingsong S22 Motor'.

Just the two bolts on the kill switch handle and it drops out. If the motor had a disconnect like s18, we wouldn't have to open the top. Just put the sliders on mine today, smooth as butter.

does it have some vibrations while trying to troley it around? try some movements back and forth. mine have that thing. how wide are wheels? it seems like there are a lot of movements sidewise and motor doesn’t stand tight. I think you should have minimum 9mm wide wheels to prevent it. the metal noise you are hearing can be because of your roller rods are scretching the outer frame inside. its a bad thing and can lead to frame cracks

The motor makes some grunting type sounds/vibrations when starting or changing direction - that's normal. I didn't notice any abnormal motor play. The slider went in butter smooth so I would be surprised if it's damaging the c-channels but time will tell.

5:50 How hard would it have been to take the black bracket off the wheel and then press the bearings on using a press, bench vice or even a G clamp? I’m wondering if all that hammering has or could damage the bracket and cause alignment issues and that is why the CNC part is rubbing.

That was my initial plan after struggling with the first couple of bearings. Unfortunately, the hex bolts that connect the slider frame to the motor must have been red-loctite on because I was gonna strip the bolts trying to get them off. I decided to pick my battles and keep hammering. I also was concerned about warping so I was visually checking periodically, and they're straight as an arrow; and they slid into the frame like butter with no resistance. So I think the rubbing is just the two front pieces slightly touching each other, which should go away after some use (I hope).

@@landocycle I won't help you now but maybe try heat to soften most loctite. Not sure about red though but it's worth a try in future. A soldering iron placed into the head of the hex bolt for a few mins should have an effect.

You’ll need a small bearing puller to remove the small bearing wheels if you need to replace or service them or their sliders.

S22 - the ‘gift’ that keeps on giving - an assemblage of unreliable and Ill designed parts held together by soft, cheap and wrong sized fixings. Your mod just doubled the worth and worthiness of the wheel! Well done anyway, good explanation and props for showing the ‘warts and all’ 👏🏻 (gift - German/Danish word for ‘poison’!) ps -watch Marty’s suspension mod video for your next $20 modification to the shock bushing fixings (they’re too short as is) 👍🏻

@@landocycle so no more maintenance then? my s22 doesn't rebound back at all after a week of riding, it was perfect when I got it, now once it compresses you have to start lifting the wheel for it to rebound. think changing the sliders might help

I came to the conclusion using a drill is not needed.... if it has loctite just jerk it and maybe use a blow dryer and yank it to break the thread locker

Well just installed it and now it is acting funny electrically eeee... Emailed rev rides.. seems like the handle isnt SNAPPING Like it used to. It wouldn't turn on at first and now it does but making an odd sound and rotating even though its disengaged

I wouldn't buy this on principle any product that needs work after they release should be the manufactors issue not yours, you paid got money for this wheel why are we accepting this :) great video mate. just wait it wont last i have seen numerous of these videos not lasting hoipefully your one does mate.
