This album was unfiltered Pac. All Eyez On Me was classic, but it was shiny, sunny California, everybody at the gangsta party. This was Pac’s heart and soul in every line, almost as if he was already leaving earth. Such a mystique hangs around this album man

The craziest thing about it, that beat was created by what was considered to the worst producers at Death Row.They called them the "Wack Room".It was like the NBA development league of producers at Death Row.It's said Tupac was in a rush to finish the Makaveli album in 3 days, but none of the top producers were available for thst time period.Pac ran out of patience and decided to give the Wack Room a chance.They created something unique & special.

I think people confuse "double, triple, and quadruple" entendres with lyricism. Lyricism is getting your point across with ease and delivery. 2pac is the pinnacle in that.

This album has a ton of triple entendre’s, though. the intro lines “niggas get shook like 5-0” was a triple entendre. The line “tougher than nitti” is a triple as well. Blasphemy has multiple triple entendres and me and my girlfriend “17 like brandy she just wanna be down” is a triple as well. Pac stepped his lyricism up for this album imo.

Shook like 5-0 as in shook as in to lose someone (shake the cops), shook as in to get someone scared (shook ones) and shook as in to shake someone down (pac on against all odds said we shook Dre punk ass now he outta the closet. 17 like brandy she just wanna be down 17 bullets in a clip, brandy was 17 at the time and was famous for the song I wanna be down, and the girl is young and just wants to hang around. It seems like Pac’s wordplay just goes over your head a little bit.

The Crazy part of this Album...the beats were Produced by the producers in the "wack room" basically the producers that they never use..Tupac wanted to show that he can make hits any way...And plus one of the producers on this album, was the Father of the guy who Played Tupac in the Movie.

There's a story where Pac couldn't get a beat so he got the producers from the wack room to make him some beats. They already had one that nobody wanted. Pac took it and used it. Can't remember which track it was tho. Possibly "krazy".

Jay Z was just collateral damage. He’s BIG’s man at the time so he caught all the strays too. Fun fact: Afeni Shakur spoke to Jay after Pac died when she presented an award to him and she apologized for the things Pac said. Also, Afeni received 100% of the publishing (at Jay’s request) from ‘03 Bonnie and Clyde. So things came full circle.

When this album dropped I clearly remember buying it and going str8 to he house tore off the wrapper and popped it in the cd player to hear what the recently deceased artist had to offer up. From the start that intro put you str8 in the mood of what the album was going to feel like, it was an experience listening to it. Still is to this day.

This album was produced by Hurt M Badd, a singer/producer signed with Death Row and studio musician Daryl "Big D" Harper. They also produced some of The Lady Of Rage's album. "To Live and Die In LA" was produced by QDIII, who is Quincy Jones son. Dr. Dre didn't produce anything for this album, he already had left Death Row several months before this album dropped. Classic Pac right here, glad you liked it!

It was originally titled 3 day Theory because he recorded all in 3 days but took 4 days to mix and master . And in its entirety had 20+ tracks you can find the original on KZfaq . Especially one of my favorite diss tracks “Watch ya mouth” lol. But they chopped it after he died , also he was going to originally release it free to the public and this would’ve been his last studio album with Death Row

When it comes to content. This is my favorite 2pac album. It killed me to get a glimpse of where he was about to go with his music. I believe based upon his contract and double cd this would've completed his death row contract. This is the type of album that will get you killed. Gov't record label etc. Front to back this album is incredible

Such a great album, I was 12 when this came out and had to sneak around to be able to buy a cd with the parental advisory sticker. Awesome to see that it is still regarded highly to this day! Blasphemy might be my favorite track but we bumped them all on repeat!

I don't know about other areas of the country but in DC this was the ONLY album anybody cared about when it dropped. We had just lost Pac and then got this right after. This was the only album I even heard other people play for almost six months straight and it dropped in what was arguably the best year for hip hop.

I'd like to believe you man, but he seemed to be so reckless. I'd like to think a 30-40ish Pac could have REALLY galvanized out people, but worse case he could have ended up somewhere between a lukewarm mix of Kyrie/Kanye or a DC sniper.🤷🏿‍♂️

@tywayne3 I doubt that. In a vacuum I understand the statement. If you consider his dire circumstances at the time..... locked up, broke etc. He was willing to sell out to get out. I don't blame him. Your soul dies in prison. His movie career would've soon superceded his music career. I think this album would've been a game changer. We didn't get to experience this with him. Within a year the beef would've subsided. Biggie contact was complete. His contact was complete. Jay-Z would've never ascended to his heights but nas would've.

To me this is the greatest rap album in history thus far...it seemed to transcend beyond mere rap..his pen seemed to take on a mind of its own like he was channeling the prophetic...i was 15 a when i pressed play i felt chills with so many tracks..seemed like hed become a spirit and not a man on some tracks

Pac got the idea for "Me and my Girlfriend", from Nas's "I gave you power". That was one of the albums he was listening too before he died. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aM-GfLhq3sqtiYU.html (They were supposed to meet in Vegas when he died). Pac was also listen to Illmatic during his trial. Right before "Bomb First" he called Nas the ring leader. When Nas says name a rapper he didn't influence this is pretty much what he ment. Even on Ether he mentioned the Hawaiian Sophie (like in the Bomb first intro). There are a lot of things connected.

pac only did that because nas used the same beat as pac on "street dreamin" he used the "all eyez on me" beat so pac decided to take something of nas's. also nas got the song i gave you power from organized konfusion's stray bullet. so nas wasn't taking credit for that because he didn't invent that concept himself. that was Monch.

Ahmad, to answer your question about why he came at Dre, Pac was riding for Death Row hard after Suge bailed him out of jail. He and Dre were on California Love very soon after that. Around that time, Dre saw that Death Row was going in a direction that he didn't want to be part of and he left the label and most of his publishing from that time behind. Pac and others viewed that as a betrayal as they were deep into the coastal beef at that point. Dre formed Aftermath not long after. It would have been like Michael Jordan leaving the Bulls in his prime to be a free agent.

First and for most the cd is Don kil-lumanti the 7 day theory. The title says a lot right there, hella layers to this one. Imagery of him hanging on the cross only to resurrect on album cover. Coupled with songs like Blasphemy, very layered album Blasphemy probably one of the deepest and most layered songs of all time. I wish we could as Pac to provide details about it like he is rapping from Gods sons prospective, like “we probably in hell already, not knowing it” 🤯 Not sure which Pac album next but Me against the world or just 2pacalypse now then, strictly for my Never ignorant, getting goals accomplished To Nas: Pac dedicated his realest shit he ever wrote at you, that cements you for real

2pac started bombing on Jay-Z after Brooklyn's Finest dropped. Biggie mentioned Pac's name on that track talking about the alleged affair with his wife Faith Evans, and since Jay-Z was next to him Pac put Jay's name on some bullets to. Also Jay was the young up and coming NY rapper at the time and Pac was beefing with most of NY he only worked with a few like Treach from Naughty by Nature, Redman and Method Man

Yeah but Red and Method Man Didn't work wit Pac.. Pac stole the already did song n took out Inspector Deck Verse n added His instead when he 1st got home. Only Saying that bc NYC woulda really felt like they was Traders. Trench didn't fall off the face of the earth for nufn. He supported Pac alil too much We didn't hate him bc we knew he was a real 1. But Eastcoast was dun supporting Naughty. So Red n Meth had Black lash a few months for bn "Westcoast" but it was cleared up. It was month old vocals. My bad bn so long-winded 🤐

This was amazing. This first came out when I was 16, right after Pac died. You had the same reactions I did when I first heard it. I lowered my headphones down so many times, like damn.
