The wierd thing is he's making a good economic point. The wealthy channelling their money out of the country doesn't benefit an economy at all. But increasing consumer spending? That actually can and has worked.

Glaswegians are natural comedians just like Londoners and Dubliners. Cabbies in Dublin !! Hi KB. I think the comment you missed near the end was the guy on the grand a week dole (unemployment benefit) suggesting to his girlfriend that she "gets her tits done" ie has her breasts surgically enhanced. It is a tricky accent but if you persevere you will be richly rewarded.

I'm a Glaswegian and a pure Scottish, - Kevin bridges comes from Glesga, , that's Glasgow to some people, Glaswegian use a different dilect to wurds, he's a diamond of a guy, he's so funni, he's a younger version of Billy connolly, both of them are Amazing, he's very talented,

Britain did not pay off it's final nistallment of a war loan America gave us until 2006 nearly 56 years after we got it (was given in 1950) to help the UK avoid Bankruptcy after the cost of the war . So Greece is not the first to be enslaved by the banks and foreign government for debts owed on money loaned . Thanks America for the loan which you just after the war because of the special relationship between our two countries oh and THE INTEREST you made a nice little earner apparently .

If you don't know what he's talking about when he says People on the dole It's a UK slang term for on social security benefits, we also call it Brew money for I'm not sure reason It mean unemployed people / people with no jobs who get an allowance from the UK government while unemployed to look for work it's not mega money About 160 British pounds a fortnight but I could be wrong could be less I did a quick Google search and see America has Unemployment insurance, but not 100 percent sure if that is the same thing, Mabye if some subscribers know America and Britain more, they might explain it better. 😂

You’ve mixed up your Greeks there It was Aeschylus who met a tragic death: one day, an eagle that had just caught a tortoise mistook his bald head for a shiny rock, and accidentally killed the author by dropping the animal onto him. Plato either died while being serenaded by a Thracian flute-playing girl, at a wedding feast, or in his sleep.

The reference to which he's referring is to an episode of the animated Ricky Gervais Show where Karl Pilkington is talking to Ricky and Steve about things he's been 'learning' about philosophy which he then goes on, in typical Karl fashion, to tell not only the completely wrong story but also got most of the parts about it completely wrong as well.
