Wouldn't have made much sense before. The Hussite crusades were the first time artillery and guns were employed on a large scale outside pure siege warfare. With this set some years after the first game when Jan Hus was still around (1403 I think), it's slowly entering that time. Don't remember if they said what year it's set in, but if it's somewhere approaching the Council of Constance or even after, all that weaponry is already way more common.

@@Mictlantecuhtli if you want to go to the original name, it would be pao or chong(China), or madfa or karab(Arabs), cos first ones to come up with the idea were Chinese, then it traveled through India to Arabs, so first ones to use them in Europe were Moors in 14th century. The word karab also was the origin of word carabine IIRC. Czechs didn't invent it, but during hussite wars they used it en masse and combined with Yan Zhizhka's tactic of using wagon fortresses they had great success, so now it's most commonly associated with hussites.

Don't be so sure so quickly... to quote their PR guy Stolz-Zwilling from an IGN interview: "As mentioned already, Henry is embarking on a journey from the countryside and local quarrels to a relatively cosmopolitan city that is besieged and occupied by the invading king. Naturally, in a place like this, people can expect a wide range of ethnicities and different characters that Henry will meet on his journey." This could turn to real trash real fast.

@@DeReAntiqua I just want to point out as Slovakian , Kutná Hora was in this time period cosmopolitan area and one of richest cities in Europe in 14. century. Yes there should be variaety of etnicities in there but in different sense. Mining and coining cities had high German and Jewish population as well as foreignt nobility.
