when i saw the trailer had dropped for this i was beyond excited, the first one was amazing and proved that you don't need high fantasy. you just need a compelling story and a strong dedication to authenticity.

The addition handgonnes is amazing. the early renaissance is my favourite historical period largely because of how old and new type of warfare begins to meld together. I wish more games would add early firearms, a lot of them just strictly define themselves as either a modern shooter or a medieval hack and slash.

I am from Czechia, for us the game is even more important. It is about what we usually learn in history lessons in the school, and which always used to be super boring 🙂 As for firearms, our Hussites (who started a few years after the story of KCD) were one of the first European armies to use firearms in a larger scale. So this addition is a nice thing that nods to the future events.

12:50 in Czechia they were called pistola (after "flute" in Czech), thats where the term "pistol" comes from.

6:39 just to clarify it was a bit misleading from Daniel Vavra to say that, but he meant they started as 11 people not that the game was developed by 11 people because when KCD was released it had around 120 people working in the studio.

At 5:23 there is a beautiful view on the castle Trosky. It is very unique castle built on top of two diatremes (vulacanos). There is only one such place in the world like that - a small town in France called Le Puy-en-Velay. Trosky castle is part of the larger area called Bohemian Paradise. Place full of history, castles, cottages and beautiful nature. Worth to visit :) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohemian_Paradise

I think that the part with the spinnig was made by the actors and not people doing the mocap for most of the combat. Other than that it looks awesome, and I just hope there will be more usable polearms, and I'm stoked for the combat mechanics reveal.

I love how in Kingdom Come Deliverance I, you are bad at fighting until you actually learn to fight. And you actually get better with practice. The bad part... the act of training was so convincing during a weekend long gaming experience that I thought my own fencing got better after playing this game (as in timing, not actual moves)... a mistake easily corrected 10 seconds after picking up a sword in real life again. 🤣 Can't wait for the second game! 🥳 I love Czechia (yes, Prague in particular), and it's unfair to ask a Czech studio doing a game emersed in Czech history this, but can you do the same centred on the Italian Wars? I want to fight in Florence and Bologna and more. And none of Assassin's Creed nonsense. I want the KCD combat system for sidesword and spadone while I'm crossing Ponte Vecchio in Florence or storming Palazzo d'Accursio to oust the Bentivogli family from Bologna. I can only dream 😮‍💨, but I really do wish this combat and game style got more popular in gaming. Winters are cold, dark and gloomy, and a perfect time to play these type of games, so give us more.

@@FedericoMalagutti Tbh, I don't think so. Prague would be too large, and as far as I know, there were no large-scale battles around it until the Hussite Wars. My bet is that we will have a slight timeskip and move to Poland in 1410, where many Bohemian mercenaries and lesser noblemen (such as Henry) took part in the war between Poland and the Teutonic Order. The current plot will be closed in the second game (confirmed by the devs), so perhaps after that, Henry can move a little bit around the Central Europe and show us more of it.

@@primkup Don't you know that Henry has a long-lost cousin in Prague? Yea, me neither, and I don't care. Just find a reason for Henry to visit Prague: What? I have to deliver this letter to Prague, collect some silk for a lady and fight some low level thugs while I'm there as part of some DLC. Good enough for me! 👍Give me the slimmest excuse to anchor my suspension of disbelieve for a visit to Prague, and I'll do the rest.☺
