No dragons, wizards or any over played high fantasy stuff, just a mud and boots medieval game based on historical events. The passion in it's creation really shined through. A masterful piece of art. Really hoping there is more in store for us.

I still remember the landscape in this game, I haven't seen it anywhere else. Your depiction of temperate european countryside is a treat for my childhood nostalgia. I hope you stay with that realistic approach for your next games !

The forests are the most believable I've ever seen in a video game. Getting stuck in the bushes every 50 meters on a horse is worth it.

I am a history teacher and use your game in my history classes. Its portrayal of everyday medieval life is so inversive and fascinating, the students love it! And I do too, just finished my 3rd playthrough last week. Thank you Warhorse Studios for this masterpiece!

@@WiggleJimmy How so? If he is recording video clips to portray certain events, culture, etc., then I would think it works like any other video shown in classes. The overt Christian piety, the grousing about Sigismund at very beginning, interactions between Henry and the various nobles can all fit well enough into a general lesson on European history of the period. Heck, just show the townspeople and have the kids guess which social class and profession they belong to.

@@WiggleJimmy I use it mainly to show the buildings, castles, clothing, weapons and armor. I don't attack anyone and I am well aware, that the "life" itself ingame is not realistic. But the depictions of clothing, armor, weapons, landscape and buildings are. In the end its mostly a tool for me to get the kids interested in the topic. All the scientific and historic stuff comes later on, separated from the game. I also make it clear to the kids, that the game is a work of fiction and should be treated accordingly.

As long as they add accessibility options. KCD was a pain in the ass with the obligatory high difficulty, countless bugs and limited saving. Hard modes are a must but making the game optionally more accessible shouldn't be avoided.

This is my favorite RPG ever made, seriously. The level of immersion is only possible due to the extreme care taken by the developers and crew. Hell, most the time I just find myself admiring the in-game world and dialogue. Fantastic job, and please take your time with KC2. Don't let the fans rush you. I promise I, and countless others like me, will come running whenever it is released. Cheers, Warhorse!

I bought this game 2 weeks ago. I am so impressed with the gameplay, the combat system, the environment, the amount of historical references, not to mention the character development and the storyline. As a history buff, and a RPG enthusiast, this might be my favorite game ever.

Amazing game, just replayed it with the dlc's and honestly the entirety of the Slavic world owes you warhorse studios for capturing parts of our shared identity and shining light on it, it was a pleasure delving deeper into your history and customs and being a part of the world not so different from the one we ourselves were taught about. Extremely talented cast, and all the programing staff aswell as writing and music animation... An absolute masterpiece. And the perk and system of the game, following a characters growth from boy to man is even educational in its ways. Thank you dear Czech brothers. I love the Johanke's quests. Walking barefoot from Sasau to Uzhitz was one of the unique experiences I've had in gaming and the trial was very epic. The game is just unique. What can I say man! Sometimes I think myself how people are able to make such cool games. It is a very hard work. I appreciate your existense guys!

As a practitioner of HEMA, it brings me great pleasure to see the fighting in this game done so well! (even if it is a tad bit slower than what I would have liked) I remember letting out a gasp of excitement when Captain Bernard performed a Schwerchau on me during longsword practice.

And I cant thank you guys enough for making the best game ive ever played, who would have thought id have more fun in this game then in legendary games like Skyrim, and Halo 2/3. Im very interested in history and this game is just a time machine! You can feel the passion shining through when playing. Again thanks for making this absolute masterpiece, a piece of art!

KCD was a game that i didnt have any crazy expectations going into. I didnt know much about it and only knew it from a handful of youtube videos. 5 or so playthroughs later and I can confidently say that this is my favourite game of all time Great job Warhorse, you created a masterpiece!

It really feels like everyone working at this game put their heart and soul into it. I know it sounds cliche but it has to be true. Playing KCD just feels so magical and different from many of the AAA games that are plain moneymakers and there has to be some reason behind it. Thank you Warhorse for delivering this masterpiece. The game truly is an adventure, can't wait for a part 2! In the meantime, I have plans for creating a mod set in 1410 for the game - Polish-Teutonic War :) I have made a popular mod of this period for M&B, will see how much I can make of the modding tools here and if this is actually possible. If I run into any problems, I hope I'll be able to count on some support from you guys at Warhorse and the community. The game deserves an overhaul mod :D

The people who made this game put in a monumental effort. That effort really shines through every detail of this handcrafted world. I love the historical accuracy.

I just started another playthrough last week and I have to say this is one of the best games I have ever played. The soundtrack, the ambience, the story everything mixed together. And a game during late middle ages in the Holy Roman Empire, even though the game itself plays in the Kingdom of Bohemia I like all the references about the electors etc. I look up every character which pop ups in the codex to understand more about the history. Thank you Warhorse Studios for creating this game. I love it!

No, Mr. Fryvaldsky and Mr. Vávra, and everyone else at Warhorse, Thank You. Thank you for believing in your idea's and self's enough to produce one of the best gaming experiences. Watching the Pre Pre Alpha footage available online, and then to compare it took my actual time playing the game, it was a wonder to see the passion and effort put forward- again thank you for sharing this with the world. Also, Thank You, Jan Valta and Adam Sporka for the amazing, amazing soundtrack. My only problem is that there's not enough songs!

I can't wait for a KCD2. Thank you for staying true to the period and not caving under the pressure I'm you had to change certain elements. The whole point of a medieval game is to feel like you're actually in medieval Europe. It's amazing to have such an amazing period of history recreated in a game. It's like time travel. When I play KCD I am in another world. All of my stresses from work and life are left behind. I think it's easier to lose yourself in this RPG because it's based in real life. The struggles and characters are more relatable and believable. Thank you Warhorse.
