I heard a theory from another youtuber that he thinks henry gets shot with a crossbow thinking about the line Martin says to him in Skalitz, and Im thinking then him an Hanz are taken to somewhere and they break out but Henry needs to recover for abit and thats why his skills get bad

Just one comment about Henry's Skill reset. It may not be a FULL reset, but quite a deep debuff. So he will probably be ambushed, and gravely wounded and that will be a skill reset. Quite hard to fight if you suffer some deep wounds. All I want is a competent Henry from the start. So you don't have to spend 20 hours learning swordplay, reading, stealing, sweetalking, or anything like that. Just give us a Competent Henry goddammit!!!!!!

With choices in KCD 1 they can do the same as with negative perks in hardcore mode. That is, at the beginning of the game we will be asked questions about how Henry acted in the first part. For example, what kind of relationship do Teresa and I have, etc.

Story sounds interesting and all gameplay systems feel like I never wanna play KCD1 again because of the amount of high quality improvements

I'm imagining the two kinds of crossbows they are referring to are simple pull-back models, in which you can pull the bow back with just your hands (still more powerful than longbows at close range due to the stiffness of crossbow limbs) and goat's foot crossbows, which use a mechanical aide to multiply the force of the hand using a lever, thus allowing even stiffer limbs. There are also windlass crossbows, which use a winding winch to reload, but those are really only useful in sieges.

Honestly my biggest hope for this game, besides the story, is that they smoothed out the combat and made it so that fighting multiple enemies at once isn’t genuinely headache inducing like it was in the first game

There was one question that was asked that you didn't cover in this video and it's absolutely essential to KCD2. When it comes to clothing and Armor in KCD2 Wich as we all know you can put clothes and armor on Henry in layers. Now with that the Armor and Clothing in the game will now have WEAR AND TEAR that you can see which again will have a positive or negative effect on Henry. Just like with weapons. Since Theresa is such a big character in KCD 1, and they're not willing to say anything about her, it makes me believe that she will be an important character within the story in KCD2, but they're not willing to spoil it

What I like about KC:D II is that they finally brought in the hand cannon and the crossbow. So the main complaint that many had in KC:D was actually the lack of crossbows and handcannons which were used quite heavily during the 1300-1400s. Crossbows were often used in castle fights and defense weapons due to the inability to reload it quickly and the Cumans on one hand hated it cuz it cuts thru any armour that they had sans their shields and less said about the handcannons the better. They were brought in from China with the form of the "Thunderous Lightning Rod" then Europeans refined it into the crude handcannon which works but also highly dangerous for the users. However, if it works, it bloody works. Whatever armour you had on you won't survive one shot from a lead ball from the handcannon if it hits straight and true. Then we have the cutscenes in the 1st part that both Hans and Henry was in prison cuz, that scene, VERY accurate. In medieval Europe, knights are an asset more than just your professional soldiers. Henry was knighted before his adventure with Hans thus in actual sense, both of them are considered precious entities by their captors thus they can torture them but not to the point of death as in that period of time, knight ransom was good business. If knights ain't killed, they're often brought back and ransomed for a fee to be returned to their respective households. That's just how medieval business is. Sure you can fight your way out like what we potentially see Hans doing to get Henry and himself out but in general senses, knights are seldom executed when captured by the enemy forces and were often held as POWs for ransom money.

2:00 Trosky castle is amazing place, its still relatively perserved and is visible today from long distance. The area around is amating too- its natural perserve due to its beautiful rock formations on large areas (called rock cities)

i'm guessing that after the injury which resets Henry back to a weakling. That Han's calls on Theresa to play nursemaid while he recovers. Then with her via dialog new players can get caught up on the events of Kingdome Come 1 and establish if they're in a relationship.

That was amazing to watch. KCD has so much charm, it's become one of my favorite games of all time. Great to see a sequel

I’m very cautiously excited for this. The first game had a heck of a break in period where they had to work on streamlining code for performance and getting rid of bugs. So I’m probably gonna hold off a few months on release.

I mean, one way we could explain Henry's Chadification in the sequel is that's supposed to be his appearance throughout and at the end of our playthrough in the first game. As we increase his strength and abilities, his appearance is also bound to change, we just didn't have the feature of him actually growing or changing appearance aside from the usual haircut and beard growth styling.

I can be seen by NPCs as a wizard with a fireball staff now.

When it comes to level resets I think Henry's progress as a fighter and a educated man will be explained by the improved combat system and hopefully expansions to those systems. I doubt we will be unable to properly swing a sword and counter. We will just see those weapon categories expanded with german Zweihanders for swords,flails for maces ect. With other systems instead of just learning to read we will be learning new languages like complete Latin,Italian,polish, and maybe hungarian. We could see the option to go on real royal hunts,Obviously with the ranged skill we will be seeing henry needing to properly learn how to handle a crossbow and the boom sticks.

I pray that it will be as optimized as they say. Because performance issues are the greatest hindrance in Deliverance.

I'll be entering every single giveaway for this game that comes my way when the release is close, With no Localized prices in my country it's a huge struggle. I managed to experience the first one this week by getting it for 3 bucks, amazing game. Wish I could repurchase it full price but sadly the whole "no localized prices" here hurts, as spending half the paycheck for a game is simply crazy.

When it comes to the rare instance of a previous choice popping up, they could just have a dialogue option like “Henry, remember this person?” “Oh yeah, I did XYZ with him/ no, I never did XYZ with him” similar to how Witcher 3 let you answer questions about the Witcher 2 near the start so your previous experience could still be “canon”.

5:58 also I'm unsure if the guy beating Henry is supposed to be Erik (Toth's "Buddy" ) or if they just share very similar white armor and hair styles. 9:55 Yeah it was sort of weird that the only time that really appears in the first game is when Henry is finishing off the duel with Runt and he just goes nuts with his sword doing a bunch of techniques that aren't available in the game. 11:50 someone doesn't have the flickering smoke fix installed. 18:31 looks like again everyone will have basically the same movement speed, with only Henry's perks allowing him to run faster than others.

I must say, Warhorse were quiet for a very long time and I got worried maybe things were done. But this is the way to do it, announce the game when its in a near final shape, and release within the year

Now we need to know just how well endowed henry is. We know he and hans have bathed together and hans thinks highly of henry's "pride and joy" and henry doesn't show any sign of embarrassment so I'm guessing he is indeed quite proud.

I'm currently finishing the last mission in the game but I only used saviour scnapps once and it was more of a nuisance although useful if your more likely far from a bed to be able to save

In an interview with knights arcade a kcd2 dev said there is a loading screen to enter kuttenberg, because of it size and how rattay caused performance issues

I guess I'm going to have to go back and finish the game now. Time to get into the practice ring and remember how to combat because even though I apparently have 160 hours in the game, it's been over 3 years since I played. It's amazing I actually played that much and didn't even finish the main story. Maybe, probably.

I found out on my current attempt to finish the game that it is possible to Drink with the Priest and yet still end up not having the full night happen, basically, when you get kicked out of the bar after curfew, if you don't focus on going after the guy who attacks him, and just go after the one who goes after you, he will resent it, and the night ends right there.

I'm curious if there will be full horse plate armor. KCD 1 had an empty slot for body armor but this was never followed up on, nor were mods made for it.

I got the game that would never be, now all I need is winds of winter and everything truly is possible.

I literally got the game 2 weeks ago and beat it today and now I hear a second one is coming I’m very happy

The only reason I was bummed that it's a sequel with Henry is because I loved how in the first game you start with zero skills. No education, can't read, can't shoot a bow or swing a sword. You truly start from the ground up and develop. You never get that experience in games, especially with a game like KCD where everything feels so analog and deliberate. Kinda bummed we most likely won't get that same experience in a direct sequel
