Honestly given how ominous the voice is, I suspect it's one of the 13 Darknesses, yes. Specifically the one who talks with the Master of Masters (and possibly Maleficent too).

That's the thing... reaction commands were a cheap way to visually entice gameplay due to tech limits at the time. KH3s entirely gameplay allows for reaction command type gameplay in terms of "cinematics effect".

@@TheSCPStudio In my opinion, KH2 did have the best fight "cinematics" I don't even mean flashiness. In all of the cutscenes we see keyblade wielders fighting something, it's usually *badass.* With the reaction commands(like said above the Xemnas battle did it best) we got a taste of that badassery outside of the standard game combos

@@TheSCPStudio KH3 had way too much flashy stuff. Also unlike with limits or drive forms in KH2, everything in KH3 just randomly appeared. There was no choice or strategy. Sure you can turn them off or ignore them, but you can't decide to use something later or when you want to. In KH2 you could save your drive form and use it as an extra heal if you want, or for i frames during a boss attack. The only time you can't use something is if your mp or drive gauge is empty, but that's also good because it limits how many flashy attacks you can use. Reaction commands were cool, and they were also pretty rare with the big ones only appearing during boss fights. Plus they generally looked better than attractions IMO, which will never not look odd to me. The small ones used against mob nobodies were not much stronger than normal combos or just dogging, plus there was some variety like being able to steal their weapons or that weird jump thing. I don't know, I just highly prefer the combat in KH2 to KH3. If you like KH3 better, good for you, because I doubt we will ever have the combat be like KH2 again (combos, dive forms, limits, general aesthetics ect.)

Reaction commands are one of the defining features of Kh2 combat alongside drive forms. It creates classic moments and memorable battles that no other game really stands up to. (Only the slow mo finisher fade out of kh1 holds any chance of competing) Roxas against the Twilight Thorn, and it's opening reaction cinematic just gives that fight incredible build up and tension. The dragon heartless in Land of the Dragons getting it's ass beat by sora to land with a satisfying BANG on the ground. The pride lands giant skeleton monster that lion Sora has to hop around to avoid getting stomped. Roxas duel wielding to beat up Axel and dispel his flames in an explosion of light. Cutting up skyscrapers in the world that never was. Sora getting pincered by Cerberus. Or the absolute madness of the Xemnas laser DM that serves as the penultimate attack in the game. This is also why the final battle against Xehanort in kh3 was my favorite out of all the games battles, because it also used a reaction command finale to end the game off with the classic Trinity, that made the fights end just far more satisfying than just using a normal swing of the keyblade ever could.

Don't forget ramming the chandeliers into the sickest looking heartless boss in beasts castle

The only other people I could think of that hasn't been voice acted beyond the classmates from dark road, Odin, and the darknesses, are the old man who delivered Xehanort to destiny islands (he's dead though), and the original narrator from Kh1's opening and ending if they decide to retcon the fact that it was originally intended to be Mickey but never stated in game.

He basically said he's poured everything into Kingdom Hearts until he became an empty shell. What if Sora or someone did the same. They're existing without a heart in their body. Maybe that's why he isn't his happy-go-lucky self. Maybe his heart is with Kairi and they have to reunite him with his body. Maybe he's referring to Strelitzia. She's an empty shell. Her heart is with Marluxia, maybe that's why he had that boss that's reminiscent of her

Basically the exact same thing Yozora does when _taking_ Sora's keyblade, he takes some power from his opponent and uses it to "build" new attacks, Sora seems to be using an extremely basic version of that against the darkside.

@@Cri_Jackal If they are the same thing, Yozora's building seems to be more technology based as opposed to Sora's light. Which makes sense because Quadratum is a world without light or dark.

To be fair, the groupfight in re:mind was also all actual reaction commands. And they apparently decided to keep using them. That's what i love about square. They actually listen to the criticisms of the fans and act on them.

I wonder if Quadratum actually replicates more of our world than just Tokyo like France, Canada, the Hawaiian Islands, etc. It would certainly give a lot more depth to this entirely new dimension: A world EERILY similar to ours that was heavily influenced by those who knew the language of Scala Ad Caelum since that language is absolutely everywhere throughout the trailer.
