Read this only after watching and enjoyed the episode! I can’t stress enough the importance of switching between different characters keeping the same background music. Especially during battles, it creates an incredibly convincing idea of flow and continuity. Unfortunately, we can’t disable or adjust the volume settings for any KH titles (except for Union Cross). But there’s this thing that pushes me to challenge the game mechanics and change those things that it wouldn’t allow me to normally achieve. I thought that this was my only chance to create the best possibly synced battle between Sora and Aqua. This represents the definitive union of two characters fighting very close to each other, without knowing. The episode really shows us how Sora and Aqua missed each other for a matter of minutes-even seconds, and I did my best to show the actual, extreme urgency of closing the door to Kingdom Hearts, something that the first game kind of failed to deliver. The massive success of Wave of Darkness, the music playing during the Demon Tide, brought me to re-imagine the whole battle against Ansem. I wanted to give a tribute to this music and creating something never seen before. Which means, you’re able to listen to Wave of Darkness during Sora’s final battle because I actually had to manually place all of the following elements myself: - All of Ansem’s battle quotes - All of Sora’s battle quotes - All of Donald’s battle quotes, including his magic and Firaga/Blizzaga sound effects - All of Goofy’s battle quotes - Every single sound related to items, HP balls, MP balls - Every single sound effect related to Shadows, Darkballs, Invisibles, when attacking and when getting hit - All of World of Chaos sound effects when damaging Sora, Donald and Goofy Even more than the Keyblade Graveyard episode from Birth by Sleep, this one required way more attention to details and I’m extremely proud of the final result. I'm in disbelief you were able to do this part since you can't adjust the BGM. This will probably be one of the only episodes I'll be watching until the series is complete, since I'll be binge watching the episodes with a few people. As everybody else has said, we really appreciate the amount of work and dedication that's being put into this project as this is one of the most important and amazing things to have for the KH community.

Everything is so well put together, like always, but ESPECIALLY in this episode. I loved the Wave of Darkness introduction _so much_ , and how seamless the transitions between Aqua and Sora's respective fights were (loved the shared shotlock-to-Ragnerok at 16:20!!). This episode also connected the relationship between Terra-Xehanort from ep 31 to Ansem and Xemnas so well with the similarities in how they sit atop their "thrones" with the use of lasers and the Guardian attacks! Every time you cut between the current game to a connection from previous episodes is the best. And seriously, thanks so much for using our Dearly Beloved in the ways that you did--it gave us a new perspective on how that tune sounds from the perspective of this Ansem battle, and it really brought us back to the feeling when we received the first master of the final version

12 year old me felt sad when sora ran to kairi & donald tried to follow but goofy stopped him. 12 year old me cried when kairi went to the cave & saw sora’s drawing of the paopu fruit. & Here I am at the age of 30 watching this & waiting for KH3.... Man I LOVE KH!

When Just a Pancake has ruined the whole Ansem and Sora philosophy banter for me. I just keep thinking of the camera zooming on Ansem's face.

I just realized Ansem is wearing master xehanorts clothes...WHY AM I JUST REALIZING THIS!!!

2:46 Gotta love the dual monologue with Ansem and Terranort 3:17 Come forth! Blue-Eyes White Dragon! 19:02 GO! TRINITY ATTACK!

AND THUS, THE FIRST ACT ENDS. I feel like the three mainline titles perfectly seperate the whole story into three acts. Act two would end shortly after KH2: The big Finale of Act 2 being the ending of the Blank Points cutscene. That cutscene perfectly encapsulates the feeling that the "final act" begins. I hope it will maintain and even enhance that feeling once more, once you get to that point in this project. Honestly? I teared up a little. This was absolutely perfect. The way the "Closing the door" cutscenes played together was amazing, I always wanted to see exactly how the two games come together as one here, and you could not have done it more perfectly. I realize just how much effort needs to be put into replacing Every. Single. Soundeffect.... just to keep the song going. Most people would have probably just kept the songs as they played, which would have made the switching between battles sort of jarring, but you went above and beyond to not just make it flow nicely, but to ENHANCE the entire pacing of the story. I can barely think of the words to describe how well these fights flow into each other. I can't wait to see you lay out 358/2 Days and Chain of Memories, and the next "Act" as a whole, as previously mentioned: The Original Orginazation XIII story, everything from Days to post-KH2. You can really tell how excited I am over this project, huh. Well, that's your fault. Why do you have to do everything so amazingly?

I have no composure left to form structured sentences to stress how much this episode is unbelievable! The music during both games' parallel battles, the way they are cut to match each other, the visuals, the on-spot flashbacks to Terra-Xehanort (both in cutscenes and in battle), the way you play with Sora (dextrous enough as wielder to parry many times and even to use Ragnarok), the finishers (Trinity!!), the locking scene, the additional flashbacks with Donald and Goofy (reminding us that they thought upon landing that it could be their last moments together), the visuals, the way you solved timing inconsistencies when locking the Door (so no Goofy peaking at Aqua), the sound effects, the quotes, Simple and Clean (I wonder how you managed to avoid copyright strikes), the endings, the way you got rid of awkard silences and pauses in cutscenes… There was so much things going which made this episode brilliant, meaningful, and very moving. And there is even a "secret ending"! (EDIT: and so much attention put to details. You even made the video thumbnails transitioning from KH+0.2 to Days!) That was even more impressive considering that technical and musical constraints from the HD Remixes -ironically- prevent any easy remix. So this was a really meaningFUL effort (to counter-paraphrase Ansem)! Way to go Everglow!

This episode makes me even more sad because of Aqua in the KH3 trailer.

Sir, you have my undying respect. Not only was this so climactic and heart-warming, it has the most deserved use of Trinity Limit I've ever scene. The flashbacks with Sora, Donald, and Goofy had me on the verge of tears. Well, now we've come to my most anticipated chapter of this series, Chain of Memories blended with 358/2 Days. Editing will be hard on your part, but that's how art works, isn't it?

Oh my sweet god, where do I even begin with this?? This was absolutely incredible. The callbacks to Terranort during the first Ansem battle, the way you made the entire scenario between Sora and Aqua's final battles flow so perfectly, the Trinity Limit at the end of the Ansem fight, the use of the music, the use of tiny flashbacks to add additional relevance to small moments, and the fact that you essentially sound designed the entire Ansem fight from scratch all to make the background music flow between fight scenes. The amount of work, love, and dedication you've put into this episode is astounding. Seeing Ansem call upon Kingdom Hearts and watching that scene directly impact the same scene in 0.2 was SO COOL to see. I was absolutely stunned throughout this entire episode, just like I was with the conclusion of BBS. Incredible work, Everglow. This series is a true work of art and you should be very very proud of yourself. Also, no matter how many times I hear it, Sora saying "The heart may be weak, and sometimes it may even give in. But I've learned that deep down there's a light that never goes out!" always makes me smile. I'm getting that quote tattooed on me soon because it's my favorite quote of all time :)

This is your best editing so far, I loved everything about it. I'm amazed by the fact that you've putted all those battle voices and effects over the gameplay, I saw those files and there are more than 1000 of them, so this is a very impressive task that most people are not aware of. I also noticed that you let Simple and Clean and didn't cared about monetization even being this one of your best and hardest works. You prioritized emotion and feelings for the viewers instead of getting benefit of a very hard work, this honors you man, thanks a lot for it and all the hard work you do for this community.

Literally the only thing missing from this is a shot of Young Xehanort looking out at the ocean when Ansem SoD is giving his speech. With what we know about him now, he was talking about himself, just as much as Riku in that moment.

I will always find it funny that seemingly the first thing Donald and Goofy did after helping save the multiverse and ending up in some random field was change into their casual clothes.

It really does make you wonder how drastically things would have changed if Aqua had escaped here and aided Sora going forward.

Everglow, this is something that no one else would even think to accomplish. The fact that you would go so far to create an ideal narrative for both fans and newcomers to Kingdom Hearts blows my mind.

The timing of the music tracks, the incredible editing, the trinity limit finisher, the un-glitching Pluto (seriously, *HOW* did you do that!?), the battles, the Terra-Xehanort flashbacks, the *perfect* way/teaser to end the episode; everything was just amazing! This was such an amazing episode, I can't say that enough. All your hard work was all worth it Everglow! I need to watch this episode again and again and again, cause it's perfect! Like I mentioned in an earlier episode (32 I think), this definitely feels like we're once again transitioning from one season of a TV show to another. Take all the time you need on the next episodes. This was masterfully done! The timing, the pacing, the music choices, (the fact that Simple And Clean can actually be played for once, lol), the editing, the callbacks, everything was absolutely perfect. And your choice of putting the Roxas and Xemnas scene there at the end was a sound one, cinematically speaking. It was pretty much the equivalent of an after-credits scene...after the original after-credits scene no less! Overall this was a fitting conclusion to the 3rd chapter of the Timeline series, the first and second obviously being X(chi) and Birth by Sleep respectively. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for the Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days chapter, it’s certainly going to get much more interesting and involved. I’m hoping we’ll see a fair deal of both HD cutscenes AND gameplay from Days during this section. Until next time, keep up the great work Everglow!

Well.. Where do I start? This and episode 30 are my absolute favourites in the timeline! The highlights were Sora and Aqua’s final battles where everything felt synchronised especially that prism rain and Ragnarok moment! Wave of Darkness was absolutely amazing and fitting for Sora’s final battle and I love the beginning of the Ansem battle with those moments of Terra Xehanort from BBS. I could tell you put a lot of effort into this episode and it absolutely paid off!!! GG Marco *CLAP CLAP CLAP* Edit: Oh and also I loved the trinity finisher at the end of the Ansem fight and was a brilliant callback to the end of BBS with the flashbacks of the game!

I was waiting for this to see how'd you'd integrate 0.2 and KH1's endings. :) Next up is Roxas and Castle Oblivion! I like how you finished Ansem with an elaborate trinity limit while he was doing his black hole attack, giving us a good shot of the supernova hole.

Dude, this was absolutely incredible! After reading about all the things you did to make this possible in the editing process!? What!? Absolutely incredible. This reimagining of the KH1 ending with all the new music and 0.2 goodness created a brand new experience that felt way more climactic than the original KH1ending. I'm so excited to see what's next. Especially with the more intense and emotional scenes in 358 days! Fantastic work as always, except this time around you've outdone yourself on a whole new level👌

And let’s not forget that you had to do most, if not all of the SFX for KH1’s final boss entirely on your own. I can’t imagine how much time that would take. This was absolutely beautiful, and I can’t wait for the future episodes. An absolutely phenomenal job, Everglow.

I have already watched this episode three times, it's perfect and so epic, it's Kingdom Hearts at its finest. I'm in awe. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the next couple of episodes, hoping that the missions with Roxas and the Organization members won't be skipped just because they are in awful graphic or irrelevant to the plot. I actually like how the CoM members are portrayed during their brief missions in Days, maybe they are not that important but they are great for character development (and one of the few moments for them minor characters to shine). Unfortunately those quests are so underrated and I'll probably be the only one to miss them if they are not included XD Reconnaissance with Vexen Holmes is probably my favourite mission in Days XD Keep up the good work, I'll follow this series until the very end!

Idk if anyone saw this but I loved the sync fighting when aqua was about to do her shock lock when the heartless was bound and then Sora shot out the lasers it looked like a shot lock and that’s what made it so synchronized idk if you planned that but it looked amazing 3. Love the way you added in the music and the scenes to show the continuity it was perfect 4. Loved the trinity you did with goofy and Donald and showing their growth as friends it was amazing 5. I... have no words. I always think that your episodes can't get more amazing and here it is this another episode ending KH1 and 0.2, boy that was SO amazing! Oh, man that Trinity Limit... wasn't expecting that. Let's go! Days and CoM awaits!

To begin with, this whole project is a work of art that shows all the love and respect that this franchise deserves, and you deserve all the recognition for carrying it out. Second, you have made him feel more "alive", empathize more with the situation of the characters and their "hearts", making this experience much more enjoyable and dramatic. Third, it also makes me realize that there are still many things that we don´t know, since the same creators have hidden us, in addition that the meaning changes according to the games and their characters... For example: In the first game we thought that that door would lead to Kingdom Hearts but it turns out that it was only small and incomplete materialization that connected to the realm of darkness, not to say that we STILL don´t know what exactly Kingdom Hearts is, or hearts, or the darkness or light or its realms, (Or ​​at least I don´t have it clear) we only have information from Xehanort research that is not objective (He is too obsessed with darkness and the X-blade), and the experience of our protagonists... This project helps me a lot, since it allows me to rethink the plot of Kingdom Hearts, and realize other details, such as that Xehanort's goal is entirely for the X-blade because he mistakenly thinks that the last war was for that reason, when in reality it was provoked artificially... I don´t know what they are planning for Kingdom Hearts III or Kingdom Hearts X (Cross), but it is clear that it will be worth it. I can only thank you for creating such a majestic project. This episode is the one I keep coming back to. (Even if mostly for the final strike on Ansem) I am constantly reminded of why I love it so much! The climax and combining of all if not most of the phases of the Xehanort saga before the final chapter. A veterans struggle rages on. A new hero's first journey ends, soon for the next to begin, while the journey of his other half is also soon to begin. Plus, while the differences in game engines may be awkward to some, I see it as a perfect instance of the past and future overlapping just enough meet, only to be just out of grasp. 😅sorry if this is too much gushing even for Kingdom Hearts!

I'm utterly speechless! The amount of efolfort you had to put into adding Wave of Darkness to Sora's battle must have been immense to still have all the sound effects and other such elements. *Stands up and applauds* Amazing, fantastic, work Everglow! Words cannot convey what I'm feeling right now! Seeing these two battles side-by-side and "Closing the Door to Darkness" from both sides is simply brilliant!

This might be my favorite episode so far. The superior editing on all of these makes it feel like a real TV show, and this is a perfect series finale.

This was so incredible and very well made. The boss fights were interwoven so neatly that I actually felt thrilled and at the edge of my seat seeing Aqua and Sora almost tag teaming with each other. The videos do such a good job at showing the series continuity that I found myself tearing up over Aqua again despite having seen the ending already lol. Bravo dude, Ty for the feels 👏👏

So many things to say, I'll just sum them up: Thank you for your amazing job here! Keeping the 0.8 final boss theme through most of the ending cutscenes gave it an amazing epicness.

Holy shit, that was fantastic! What an incredible way to wrap up the story so far! I’ve played KH1 so many times, and with these edits you got me to tear up all over again and bring a smile to my face. Bravo!

This is episode was so amazing everglow. Oh God it’s so crazy how emotional this video game franchise can get me. I played this ever since the first official kingdom hearts game was released on PS2 and that was such a more easy and peaceful time of my life the nostalgia hits me so hard it’s hard to hold back my tears and they just come out anyways. The music you had playing during aquas last dialogue fighting the wave of darkness was so perfect it made that moment so pristine. I’m also happy you were able to play simple and clean and not have it muted because I LOVE that song so much I don’t think any other kingdom hearts vocal soundtrack can beat it in my option it’s so iconic. Thank you so much for this everglow.

Amazing effort and attention to detail! These are the kind of vids you like before you even watch the first second of it. You always manage to surprise me with the ideas you come up with. Was not expecting the Sora, Donald, and Goofy montage but I absolutely loved that because I feel like they don't get enough respect as a trio, so that was great. The use of music and the timing is just top notch. This and episode 30 are both masterpieces. Ecstatic to see what you do with the endings to 358/2 Days, COM, and Kingdom Hearts 2!

I will admit, I had just finished playing the first game by the time you started covering it in the Timeline so I was already burned out BUT I continued to keep up and this episode was so masterfully done. You’ve managed to revitalize this ending with the both the addition of Aqua’s journey and the new music inserts. The final battle was exhilarating and the closing of the door hit harder emotionally and reminded me of what it felt like to see that ending and beat the game for the first time. This truly felt like a season finale and I can’t wait for the next season and chapter of Kingdom Hearts Timeline to start! We appreciate you so much, Everglow!
