This episode was made with only a single goal in my mind: "Don't let your viewers get bored to death by letting them listen to Black Powder for 15 minutes in a row." Those who played the Keyblade War, both in X[chi] and UX, should know very well what I'm talking about. I did my best to showcase the war, this time in HD, without wasting too much time against every single foreteller. I'm pretty happy of the final result and the change of musics makes it way more enjoyable. - Explaining the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project - As many of you already know, the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project started back in April 2018 as a way to prepare all of us for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. What is the Timeline project? Basically, you'll see all of the story events as they chronologically happen. Which is seemingly easy to do, but...if you're familiar with Kingdom Hearts, then you do know the series is so full of flashbacks, callbacks and retcons, that it's extremely easy to lose track of them. I always like to think of the Timeline as an experiment. I wasn’t sure if it could be a welcome one but, somehow, it was so well received that it exceeded my expectations. The original Timeline was just a way to re-live all of the Kingdom Hearts titles leading to KH3, in a different, yet familiar way. I never had plans to go back to it, as I was fully aware of all the flashbacks and callbacks that could be added in the future titles. I don’t really like the idea of uploading new, fixed episodes every now and then-it would just confuse all of you (and, more than anyone, myself!) Still, the requests and messages I received in the past few years made me reconsider my plans. More than anything, I did plan to complete the KHUX saga, as it was the only incomplete title when KH3 came out. So here we are! Now that KHUX ended I have everything at my disposal for making the ultimate, complete chronological version of this title. I can’t stress enough the purpose of this project-this doesn’t want to be the best or the perfect way of experiencing the Kingdom Hearts saga. All of the titles should be played following their release dates. The Timeline is simply an alternate way of experiencing the story we already know and only players who already played the games should watch it. New players would be spoiled about some plot points, so be warned. This project gives you a different perspective on specific events, and the adding of new musics, flashbacks, callbacks and secret reports, makes the whole experience even more unique and immersive. A: No. I’ll just reupload the episodes containing flashbacks/callbacks that we got to see after the release of KH3. For instance, the beginning of Birth by Sleep will be reuploaded since I’ll have to add the dialogue between Master Xehanort and Vanitas at the Land of Departure, occurring in Dark Road. 2) Q: Will the old episodes be deleted? A: No. All of the episodes will stay, but the new ones will have the text “NEW” in the thumbnail and in the video title. The new episodes will replace the old ones in the Timeline playlist in my channel. 3) Q: Will you be making KH3 as well? A: Yes, but my main goal was completing both KHUX and Dark Road. I do have some plans for KH3 but I’m considering of using the PC version of it, so I can disable the music through mods and do some…special stuff. There's no way I can put the whole story of Missing-Link in the Timeline, not in the near future. That game's story might last some years, like it happened with KHUX. I think it goes without saying this entire war segment is a major reason why many fans want a Union Cross remake because this has to be one of the darkest moments in the entire series and the only fight where we encounter the Foretellers’s otherworldly power as Keyblade Masters compared to everyone else so far in the series Don’t even get me started on speculating over what actually happened to them after the War

They built up Player and Ephemers relationship as if it were the pinnacle of friendship, but it must be remembered: they only hung out for an hour nearly a year ago and haven’t seen them since.

Thanks so much for still keeping the Maleficent scene from Chi's ending. It's still really strange that, as far as I'm aware, it is the only moment from the original web browser that wasn't shown in Union Cross.

Watching these is kinda like waiting for the next episode of a show continuing, and has now turned intro a tradition for me to watch! Can't wait for the next part!

Wasn't there a short scene in 2.8 or 3 showing Luxu watching the hearts from the keyblade war rise up to Kingdom Hearts? It would've been neat to see that one here.

I'm so happy you included the montage of the friends the player makes! So many people don't even know that those characters exist. It honestly got me really emotional when they showed up in the finale to all turn into Dream Eaters. They even included the bonus character who used to lead the party that you see in a special side-mission. I doubt we'll ever see them again, they don't even have names, but if we ever end up freeing the dandelions from the datascape in Scala Ad Caelum, I'd love to at least see 3d models of them hanging out in the background or something.

I just love you for putting "Edge of Existence" during the battle against Gula. It captures all the essence of that fight, a fight that no one really wanted and yet, here we are..

God I miss the Spirit Pets in Union Cross so much, they were freaking adorable. Coming in different colors and different animals and by god it was so cute. My absolute favorite I always had with me since I used to play Union Cross was a Rainbow Pupstar and I named him Rex. I really hope in future Kingdom Hearts games like Missing Link and Kingdom Hearts 4 they bring those Spirit Pets back.

Thankyou for not making us listen to Black Powder Extended Edition. Really wish they had done a bit more music mix for the Keyblade War or at least used something a bit more dramatic or somber. Either way, love the choices and that flash of Ephemer was a nice touch.

Man we went through hell having to face five powerful masters in a row it’s not good but hey we held up pretty well even though we almost died thanks Skuld and Emphere for saving us even though those guys erased our memories of the keyblade war. But man seeing the keyblade war it’s dark we got to remember those were kids so many kids died because of the masters of masters and his plan to try to get rid of darkness. I think anybody here would be disgusted with his methods even if it’s for a noble cause. Also you can’t help but feel bad for Ventus he had no friends at all and was going on missions and collecting lux alone. Then the darkness took over his pain and loneliness just so it can steal the book. Sucks that Sterlitza had to die but I’m happy he made some friends with the other union leaders and Terra and Aqua like thousands of years later lol

Kinda disappointing that they didn't give our new party members names... with the exception of Mog. I personally referred to the leader as Emma. The jetpack girl as Jesse. And the Afro guy as Einstein. Anyone else give them names?

When Ephemer finds the player at the end of the Keyblade war I remember watching him say: "we shall go together", do SE edited that part in an update or it was a Mandela effect on me? I'm pretty sure he did say that, and it blew my mind when, years later, it was revealed that Xehanort is a descendant of Ephemer because that phrase is the same one Xemnas says when he does a certain attack on Sora in KH2's last fight, foretelling this connection.

Question - When did Ava told Skuld she'll be a Union Leader? Right before the war started, Skuld and Everglow searched for Ava, suggesting she didn't see her in a long time. Skuld's actions seems to suggest she doesn't know about being a union leader... at least to me...

Did they remove the line where the player mistakes Skuld for a goddess? That's a bit of a shame, I really liked that moment. “A goddess??😮 ” Maybe they thought that the player being so delirious after fighting for hours that they mistake Skuld for agoddess to be too dark?

Ok now im mega confused. Why do i keep feeling that im missing something to understand whats going on . How come ventus is here ? Why the hell maleficent mentioned sora . Isnt lauriam the same marluxia ? Those names are all the way later in the timeline how come they are exist even before xehanort was born or what ? What am I not understanding? Please explain guys 💔

Come to watch this twice, I now have a assuming reason how the Foretellers came back in the ending of KH3. For one, in this scene they didn't really fight..... only Ira and Aced. It's like they staged it to have the strongest darknesses sleep in their hearts, and once it was all over - they 'disappeared' like Luxu and MoM. Though, they didn't know their true role to have the darkness in them except Ava and Luxu. Sometimes I think Luxu took Ava as a potential host for a little bit [after she knew he was the traitor and the two fought], for the reason why you see her in the Keyblade War, as well as looking like Ava in front of Ventus. Since I don't like Ava was not suppose to be in the war in the first place.

I’ve seen it a hundred times, and I still don’t get it. Can someone actually EXPLAIN what happens at the end of the Keyblade War? Did the other Masters die? Did Ava die, did I die, and somehow get revived, did I fight as a Nobody for the final few battles cause you definitely lose your heart on camera before the end? None of this makes sense. And yes, I know, it’s KH and like, nothing “makes sense” but everything else that doesn’t make sense is either on purpose, or it does, it’s just convoluted. On this I have no idea what occurred here.
