This was really good, I actually didn't realise how deep the religious undertones in the story were even if I did pick up on the more obvious parts about how ideas can be twisted and used to people's benefit. I don't live in the US but I can definatly see how this applies to anything involving history. It's so easy for it to get misunderstood for what it really was. It really is such a great movie.

3:48 it was kinda like the christian schism. the aggressive empire side and the orangutan with the books was the more intellectual and spiritual side

That's a cool interpretation! I think that really aligns with what the movie goes for, too. We can still situate that schism with some of the real-world context we applied in this video, too.

Kingdom had useless and pointless characters, like the talking-human-male, fleshed out nothing of how speaking-human survived, didn't explain why there was only one Gorilla and one Orangutan. The girl was emotionless and somehow knew exactly what to get, where to find it and where to deliver it too. I felt it was the weakest of the series thus far.
