I suspect you guys spread some sort of healing laughter because you reminded me of something I purposely squashed, the year things went so wrong for me, over and over so I wiped off the dust loaded everything in my van and headed to Santa Monica Pier, California. United States of America. I got a job running the ferris wheel, I didn't know how to run a ferris wheel. The first time I started loading it up, I did it all on one side and it spun around backwards and started smoking. I noticed the drive belt was loose so me being mechanically inclined, I tightened it. I didn't know it was built in 1929 and had a wooden bushing in that part of the clutch. So now the clutch and the wooden bushing are smoked. So on my two week vacation while the ride was shut down waiting for parts my van wouldn't start, I checked everything I could, had other people check things, mechanics troubleshooted and they said it's the engine, I borrowed the carnivals forklift and drove it down the city street to the junkyard and brought back another motor along with a traffic ticket. lo and behold, the same problem 😣😤😆. It was the distributor and by then I couldn't afford one cuz I was out of work.😆😆😂 The van got impounded out of the Pier parking lot before the Ferris Wheel Parts came so boss man told me if I can figure out how to put these parts together and fix the ferris wheel then he will get my van out of impound plus pay me for the two weeks that I was off because he can't find anybody that knows how to work on it. It was only a 9-hour day to get it all assembled, something that would take a technician 1 hour and then another four hours for heat transference and cool down so it would stabilize so my adjustments would take. The next day I learned how to balance it correctly and my first customer was Tom Bosley, mr. C on Happy Days. I let that Ferris wheel go round and around for 20 minutes with just only him on it until his head tilted over and his eyes shut and some drool started coming out of his mouth. I asked all the people that were mesmerised, just staring at him going Non-Stop that I'm going to wake up Tom Bosley now and let him exit so please leave the area and let him walk in peace. He said it in his deep choppy voice "that was the best ferris wheel ride I ever had, you must have a lot of experience dealing with A-listers haw? I looked him straight in the eyes and said "yes sir I do?"

I've been motorhoming it for 40+ years... My Dad is a retired Fireman and he says always keep you shoes on in case there is an emergency and you are then ready to run! Also, always when fueling up everyone in the vehicle takes off their seat belt. Same reason :)

I would not have let a RAC car monkey anywhere near the bus. The simplest solution was to jump start from the Scania livestock truck on site, 24v also. Fairly sure the big agri tractors are 24v too.
