It's weird that he got AD right off the bat though, because riot does code the adaptive to make it champion-specific in case you don't have any stats from items. I remember reading abt it in some patch notes. Maybe they didn't bother for brand because there's no way you don't build any AP on him lol

@@Warriorfall its actully not champ specific thats a lie its based on there base stats and which value is higher and because you cant havemore ap than ad at the start your adaptive will always be ad till you buy an ap item to offset it which is why you need an ap item to force adaptive to ap instead of ad

@@wolfdeathnogames5314Nope that’s simply not true. Had the same debate on twitter, it’s very clearly hard coded for some champs to have AP adaptive. It’s worked like this for years on summoners rift, they just fucked it in arena for some reason.

Riot usually doesn't make special adaptive cases for a ton of champs. So it just defaults to ad and then goes off items

Riot really needs to update adaptive force so that it is on a per-champ basis, and THEN it gets overridden by items. This is something I haven't understood for a long time, I don't know why it's like this. This way if you build AD items on an AP champ, it will switch over, but if not it defaults to AP

It's weird that this setting (that is present on Summoner's Rift) doesn't get transferred to Arena automatically. Unless it does, but it's specifically Brand that is not adjusted on the Rift too :D

The op thing about phenomenal evil on champs like brand is that it has an internal cooldown "per ability" but Brand passive and certain other dots(Lillia Passive) have no cooldown and count as 1 ability, so they just permanently give stacks every time they tick.

Whoa, so they nerfed it because it was abused by dot champs, yet the biggest abusera of it still abuse it, while it became weaker than silver ap augments for almost every other champion. Hope next patch will change something about that.

It's like that 5 second cooldown per ability part was added exclusively to target Singed or something. Phenomenal Evil is slightly less good on Swain now, except he has three other abilities to hit people with.

Phenomenal Evil works with Brand pasive so every tick of the pasive counts as a +1 for PE. Didn't try it with Lillia but probably works with her too

You're getting the Phenominal stacks from the Brand passive, applying it counts as a seperate spell and then it gives you ap every 5 seconds (aslong as it is active)

I think reapplying your passive once you cast a new ability also counts. So you actually get 2 ap per spell cast.

as someone that plays brand in arena a lot, this is exactly how it is. mediocre shards, weird off-type augments and ad/tank prismatic item. getting good augs and item is rare

Ornn makes stat shards much cheaper, so you can get more of those. Besides Ornn maybe you can play TF or Pyke to farm more money for the stat shards.

i think the phenom stacks once with each ability and ur passive stacks individually aswell but with no cd between each different ability so in one combo instead of 3 ap your getting 6 and the explosion does 7 and another burn aking it 8. Idk tho lol

Theres an Interesting bug when you get AD-APt and lich bane btw. For some reason Lich Bane removes AP from you and when you sell and undo you can go negative AP. No Negative AP does not give you infinite damage like I thought it would in some kind of wrap around spaghetti. But an interesting bug that lost me an AP ezreal game lmao

Can you test sylas with marksmage? I think it is bugged somehow and the passive is using the 130% ad scaling from the augment. So we get the 30%, if I'm not mistaken, from ap and 130% of that ap too bcs of marksmage. I'm saying this bcs I picked it yesterday and did 10k damage with 200 ap only on the first round with just the augment. It's sussy but hilarious

Thankfully, they nerfed Phenomenal Evil to no longer give 2 stacks per second for champs with damage over time effects. Unfortunately, Brand still has his trait DoT counted as a unique ability cast, on top of the explosion also being considered a unique ability cast. They seriously need to fix that.

im pretty sure adaptive force has a default choice per champ and then looks at items to choose what to boost, idk why brand's default is AD but if you had even the AP starter item it would go to AP. you could have 10000 AP from anvils and it would still give AD

dematerialize (and potentially other sources of adaptive force, I'm not sure) in arena seems to always default to physical, I had the same issue on nautilus where I was getting a bunch of AD because I was going tank items, even though his adaptive type is magic.

R This is why phenomenal evil stacks so fast on brand and why gambler's blade is the funniest shit ever on brand, I got like 22000 gold in one game I'm also pretty sure that stack 1, 2 and 3 of his blaze counts as separate abilities, so he essentially procs shit 10+ times in one combo

Hello bro I watch your content but I dont play league since a while ago I remember that in the old 2v2v2v2 I win a match with Singed 1v2 (4 rounds in 1v2) since I had vengeance, the one that heals you when you move and the other one that gives you ap for tick of poison (now pretty nerf) I think that a really really REALLy peak content would be a game where you win 1v2 (literally, like, after round 5 your teammate just dc or die un purpose) Is it so imposible to make? you are the only master of arena content, perhaps there's a chance but ofc it would be a lot of time trying to acomplish such thing Greetings from Argentina

Ornn specific change for Arena: Instead of upgrading items, now grants a permanent discount on Anvils for the team: -100 Gold for Stat Bonus Anvil, -200 Gold for Legendary Item Anvils, and -250 Gold for Prismatic Item Anvil. You can see the prismatic costing 3750 at the same time frame.

I think that pehnomenal evil stacking from every Brand's passive tick has something to do with the fact that passive itself has up to two stacks and explodes at 3 and is coded as ability, therefore 'poison' part is propably also treated as ability.

I find it a shame that there are so little augments for dashes other than earthwake or resistances/ms. I'd love to see something like increased dash range, maybe an augment called "flash dash" which would make every dash work like flashes or maybe repulsor dashes, so using a dash would push people away. Idk how tough the balancing would be, but it would make for a more fun experience imo.

They actually just announced today that one of the new augments coming is "trailblazer", and augment that lights a nearby enemy on fire when you use a dash or blink. Perfect timing for the comment lol

There're also "Dashing"; "Now you see me"; silver augment that give bonus MS after a dash; "Restart" to let you burst 2 rotation instantly in a short time; Mirage blade to refund your dash skills; Voltalic legendary. And then you can play with other synergies that take advantage of MS and slows, energize, zooming when you haven't taken dmg. Those are plenty of options in how I'm seeing. The real losers of this arena mode are adcs, all their synergies are literally nothing but "huh duh more exponential dmg and ever increasing dmg per round only", with the only fun things being "Draw your sword", Scoped weapon, moonflair blade, . In comparison to AP carries: Big brain getting shield from AP; Demonic embrace with MS boost active; Minds to matters getting HP from mana; plenty of overlap with Heal and shield and become "drain fighting enchant mage"
