These tours are getting out of hand so bad. They need to start doing something about it. It's just getting Worse. it's ridiculous. These people don't care they're like a bunch of animals. The way they bunch in there. They need to stop what happens. To many people at once being in there, it's overcrowded.

We visited London about 35 years ago and went to Horse Guards one day. There were zero crowds. In fact, we were practically alone and of course no police presence at all. What a change since then and I really don’t think for the better.

You are so right, I was brought up within walking distance of this and it was often a Saturday afternoon outing, see the Horses and guards, walk down Downing Street to see the Pm ( we never did) then on to Trafalgar Square to feed the pigeons! Often we would be the only ones in Whitehall and just two horses outside the odd guard inside, even on the parade ground no one about at all, we would then go feed the Ducks in St James Park. Nice! Even about 8 years ago I was there and there was no one about! What’s happened to my lovely home town! I would like to go visit again but it puts me off.

The MOD police are there for antiterrorism and security of the buildings and the area as it's a working military barracks not to guard the Guards though they can and do step in if necessary and order groups to leave the tiltyard .

These young men who stand guard and have to listen to all those people coming at them and taking their pictures and wanting to get selfies with them, have no idea what it is to respect these young men, I’m sure they have long days of work and these people all they do is make it more difficult for them to want to be there I would think!
