I feel like the graphic design was upgraded and the first thing I noticed was the change in the seasons track and I love that! The art on the other hand, I prefer the art of the advisors from the first edition but like the new art for the buildings in the second edition. I'm not seeing enough that makes me want to get the second edition unless I sold off my 1st edition and expansion. However, I do like some of the additional content. Great review! I too, love this game!

Great review. Besides being more interactive, do you feel the added rewards on top are less beneficial or better rewards? I'm intrigued by the stress of: you have to get a certain advisor now before it changes.

certain ones are more beneficial. probably not as much for the ones where other players get to decide what resources you get. But some of them even benefit other players. So that's nice if your the "other player." :-) I forgot to mention that there are 16 new advisor tokens and of course there are only 15 rounds so one advisor will never come out. I was waiting and waiting one game for a specific advisor and it was never pulled. Oh well. It definitely shuffles the strategy up. :-) -Kevin
