This week we have the one and only @jacksonwang852g7 in the pod! This episode has been a long time coming. Jackson is straight up the hardest working person in any room. In this episode he talks about his early years growing up as a world class fencer, to taking a shot at the music industry, to becoming a full blown international superstar. Though it may seem like Jackson has always just “had it,” in this conversation he opens up about his struggles of being okay with not being okay. Jackson’s journey is nothing short of incredible. Not many people in this world can say they’ve even touched half the things this man has accomplished. That said, this conversation reveals the very human side of Jackson Wang. Listen in as he opens up about where he is at currently in life, and how his most recent project is the most honest depiction of himself as an artist. Buckle up folks! This one is is a ride 🚀

Anthony's genuine compliment about Jackson's work ethic is the only time I've seen Jackson really accepting and appreciating a compliment. He'd always brush aside them when others over compliment him. Love the Kinjaz - Jackson bond.

I love the way you compliment Jackson that made him sort of satisfied about his work. He's always trying to get better but I think he should be proud of himself. I'm a fan for about 2 weeks and I already feel that he's great attitude and always genuinely engaging to his music and the fans. Keep going "Pi Jack ", Believe in yourself. You're magic man >_

I am latina and 50yrs old, I can honestly say that this is the first time that I see a Chinese artist musically speaking embraced and admired for the art, Jackson is a lone wolf Asian and this guy gets it, not only did he take the time to really understand the American expressions without it being awkward in interview so articulate , I appreciate how this Kid is genuinely honest about his struggles and down to earth. I hope that he keeps moving forward and we can hear his originality while on his self discovery.. I haven't been excited about seeing MV since Michael Jackson ... I hope he takes care of himself, Don't be so hard on yourself Jackson you are enough. peace and love

honestly, it's scary to listen to Jackson, he is too amazing and his dedication is intense and intimidating, but also so inspiring, I can't believe I'm alive in this era to witness and say I'm living in the same moment as him, he has motivated me to work hard in my own stuff. it saddens me he is never happy but time has proven that men on his level are like this. He wears so many hats, does so many things, all of them he does on an elite level, he always deflects, he is not easy to interview for sure because other than when he is on stage he always wants the attention on others and not himself. thank you for this amazing interview kinjaz ! i can't wait for that partnership!

Jackson has achieved so many things in life, successfull, a world class performer and an artist. Yet he is sitting in this chair like the most regular guy. One of the most humble and down to earth people Ive ever seen. This is why Jackson is where he is. You will make your mark in this world my guy. Im so proud to be your fan and be a part of your journey as a supporter.

The things Anthony said it's really needed. Because jack really getting too stressed. It needs to happen more often to him. Someone needs to remind pretty often to my boy. Sometimes I feel stress because of him. He really needs to know that people love him because of him. There's really not to feel sorry about that.

What I like about him is he's humble, not pretentious, quite mature in some ways of thinking. It's unusual for a man at his age to have such a clear blueprint of his career and future, not acting selfishly but giving opportunities to the next generations like what he had got since his debut. Thanks to Anthony, Ben, and Kinjaz for showing your genuine support by his side. I will consider this as a friends' chat more than an interview!

I'm so glad Jackson seems to be genuinely accepting and embracing compliments for once. Somebody needs to lift up his self-esteem. I feel so sorry hearing him saying he's nobody while he actually is the whole world to so many people. I wish the day he can feel he "did it" comes sooner, probably after MagicMan is finally out 🖤 Btw, Jackson is flying to LA tomorrow, get him to do episode 2 please~ 🙏

Exactly he can ask Got7 members about how Jackson still naggs them about things they did years ago ( Youngjae's breaking his plant Bob and betraying him during a game at Shabu Shabu, JB taking the bottom bed next to the fan at the dorm, Bambam refusing to wear the matching tee shirts he bought...), fans have been hearing Jackson complain about these stories for years and it is still so hilarious that he can't get over it.

I'd like to say that Jackson has changed the way I view music. I've learned to appreciate music as a body to art, decipher hidden meanings and see the hard work put into the creative process. Hence why I always connect with his music. I love the sound of most of his music and even when the sound is not to my taste there's always something I can appreciate, be it the story, the visuals, the message behind the song or even his hard work. I've never come across such a unique artist that resonates with me.

I used to feel the same way about causing harm indirectly to people I care about by telling them my problems but I came to release that people who care hold space for you always; they have the capacity to love and nurture you through difficult times so talking to them when you’re at a low point isn’t going to make them “miserable” since they want to and choose to be there for you- really appreciated his honesty and talking about mental health especially as a cis man can be very hard; wish him nothing but the best and I hope he can see the love his close ones have for him and in turn be able to rely on them 💖

I wish Jackson would stop apologising for his previous work and acknowledge that it’s a part of the artistic journey and growth. You are experimenting and learning about what you want to do, how to do it, it’s a ‘playtime’ period. Many fans love that stuff, but as an artist you may cringe cos it wasn’t right, wasn’t what you wanted to present but you can’t find your artist voice straight away, it’s this process that nurtures and delves inside to your core that finds what is authentic. Creating work is really a self discovery process. A shedding of the layers of who you think you are, your self created identity- your ego. You are stripping it down to find yourself in its purest and simplest form. Without his previous work, he wouldn’t have been able to create his current album which he says is the closest thing to himself so far. Don’t apologise for the creative process you needed to take, Jackson, it was an essential playtime for you, what you don’t like, what ‘didn’t fit’ for you, is just as important as what is right as it leads to a clearer understanding of who you are by knowing who you are NOT.

Please someone tell this man there's nothing to be sorry. Because what people giving you like showing love to you it's because you deserve it. Cz You are doing the work you are the creator what people enjoying and being happy forgetting their stress. You deserve the whole world to be honest. You don't need to be sorry at all. Just do what you love and your real fans will be happy for you and always be proud of you. Please put that in your mind that the love or appreciation you are getting only cz you deserve it. You earn it by yourself. I pray every single day to Allah for introducing you to me. You inspire me in so many ways. I mostly focus on my life cz I get really motivated by you and your work ethic. I love you so much love. Please just take care of yourself and do what makes you happy. Don't think too much about anything else.💚💚🌸🌸🙌🙌💋💋

Thank you dear Kinjaz for having this podcast. This is really2 fun yet deep.. it made me had tears in my eyes for 3 times 😌 because i also remember my journey when i follow Kinjaz since 2016.. when i unexpectedly know Jackson because of seeing Titanic in 2019 .. And that always during my lowest time… You guys has left big impact for me in my dancing life.. What makes me happy the most was hearing that Kinjaz Komplex will reopen soon with Jackson as the new Kin 😀 #KinJack and i hope i can go there someday.. Dear Jackson, thank you for inspiring, motivating, cheering for us.. For me, i still support you not always bcause of your products (music etc), but because of your personality and value.. I know and accept that ure not perfect like natural human nature, but thats whats speaks to me so i can learn to accept myself too.. Praying that u always keep going for doing what you love, not because u feel bad for us.. I am always proud of you.. Hope someday i can say this personally to you.. Lots of ♥️ from Indonesia.. See you soon 🤗

Jackson, girl it saddens us to think you‘re not as proud of your product as we are. We are thouroughly enjoying your journey and progress and even when we consume old content we only see how far you‘ve come. Please enjoy as many as possible of the steps that are getting you closer to your dream, because they mean a lot to us too. As a north-african person constantly consuming western media, it was only after seeing you on youtube speaking in English that I became curious to learn about eastern cultures, and I‘ve had many an opportunity to get into it before but I somehow connected with you and I‘m thankful that you were the gateway to so much art and so much culture, hopefully learning some languages one day. Milestones are an important reminder of progress and a validation to all your effort, but they are only reached through a continious journey of micro successes and restarting from the exact point where you made a mistake. So every day should be celebrated. Every day should be a source of pride. ❤️

One of the best podcast ever! Thank you Kinjaz for having Jackson. Every topic had so much meaningful perspective and things to take away from Jackson himself and then the whole friendship with Anthony. Your guy’s friendship is so fckin special, so raw and authentic! The way Anthony compliments and give credit towards Jackson speaks so much volume of their bond but also just being a REAL, TRUTHFUL individual. Everyone needs a person like Anthony honestly. Jackson on the other hand is definitely one of the hardest working man to ever exist. He literally does everything and masters it himself in that category alone. I love Jackson so much and he is truly so fckin inspiring. I hope both Jackson and Anthony continues to do great things. I would love to hear/see more podcasts of together. I agree completely on the Asian Representation topic. As a Tawainese American Gen X, growing up, we didn’t have anyone like Jackson making music and displaying their talent and beauty to the world. (Full Asian) So mainstream music was what I listened to. I’m so proud to be experiencing this era now in my 40’s. I’m a full supporter of Asian Artists and Jackson is definitely my #1. DPR Ian is my #2, and of course I can go on and on about KPop/K hip hop and the many solo artists and groups that I just love and support. Thank you for this podcast. Good stuff. ❤

What an interesting podkast, I'm just discovering Jackson Wang, but I have to say, he is a unique individual whose talents, skills and abilities I think even overwhelm him at times. All artists are different, and Jackson Wang is one who I feel and think can only do his "authentic" way himself, it is his 'process' that needs to run its course. He is a very deep thinker in my opinion, and kudos to him for being an artist his way. Appreciating the ups and downs, the people around him, his weaknesses, and his aspirations to do more, and give back more to his fans, can be from the outside seem insurmountable and even maybe unnecessary, yet I believe that's just him, and he feels fulfilled when that happens.

This is the most genuine & raw podcast I've ever tuned in for. Jackson Wang's drive and ambition is so inspiring and I think we need more artists like him. I love to support people who aspire to inspire and to make the world a better place through their music

Okay, I'm here listing to the show, playing spades and then I hear Jackson comment regarding the birthday situation " when it's not a true heart friend" comment, I had to stop the game and go "WOW" that's 😂😂! Now I need to go make me some popcorn and start to watch the show. This is going to be good! Much Love, Jackson!😁😁😂😂

I've watched a lot of interviews with Jackson Wang but this one really stands out. I learned things about him and heard answers from him that I had not heard before. This felt like being a fly on the wall at a conversation among close friends and it's clear that Kinjaz and Jackson Wang each have a lot of mutual respect for one another. I was emotional at parts watching them speak about their admiration. Thanks a lot for this one. Really well done, guys.
