Thanks Steve, I guess the more we move into the future, the less control we have with what these machines do and when they do it. I love my Kioti, but I'm definitely not getting rid of my older tractors. Thanks for checking it out.

Thank you for your video. Made me feel a lot better about the dpf. Ive never had a tractor with it and looking at getting a CK 3520 or the CK4020 in the next month or so

My CK4010 regens’ have been almost identical to your description. I’ve had about 15 or 16 regens in my 540+ hrs of use. Enjoyed your video.

Jeff, great video. I agree it seems like nobody wants to talk about the DPF. But like you, I've had zero problems with my DPF and regens. I'm also worried about want the cost is going to be "if" it ever fails. I have a CK3510 identical to yours, exact mine is a 22 model. It's great to see you post videos, because there's not a lot of them out there on the CK3510. Thanks! keep the videos coming. Tony

Hi Tony, good news is for the most part, I'm hearing that people are having little to no issues with the DPF and regens. I was talking to a farmer friend just this morning and he has a combination of tractors, combines and many other diesel engine equipment that all has DPF. A few pieces of his equipment have better than 4000 hours and are still on the original DPF filter. He did bring those into the dealership I think around 2000 hours and have the filters cleaned. He said it was around $400 per tractor. That did make me feel better knowing that hopefully these filters will last a long time. Thank you for watching the video and commenting.

Hey brother. Hope y’all doing well. That’s why I got the CK 2610. Don’t need much PTO power. I do a little bush hogging and mostly loader work l love it though. That power service is good stuff. You know it is if Cummins endorsed it. Stay safe hero 👍🏻🇺🇸

@@lyndonhamby7432 Hey Lyndon, the last 24 hrs has been pretty rough around these parts. That storm had really turned things upside down. Tornadoes popping up and tons of rain. But thankfully we are well and probably have some clean up to do over the weekend. I’m sure the Kioti will be in use. Glad you are enjoying your 2610. Thanks for checking in and have a good one.

I've had same/similar experience with my CK3510. Every 25-25 hours. I use my tractor for mowing mostly. So, It's at around 2,500 RPM most of the time. You have me thinking now though. I've pushed that regen button a couple of times. Initially though it was required. (No owners manual available while out in the woods or fields) I'm wondering where I left the button - On or OFF. I'll find out today. I use additives also. Reminds me of all the money spent on STP we used to add to the oil in the 60s and 70s. To this day I don't know if it did anything or not. I've read and watch a bunch of reviews about oil and fuel additive and the words Snake Oil come to mind. Can't believe all the salesmen out there! Also I wonder if some day down the line after warranties have expired if a bypass of the DPF will be developed. Especially if replacements and cleaning do cost $400 to a couple thousand dollars. I'm curious what harm would be done by eliminating it. Never needed one prior to the EPA and other Faucci types from the government telling us what's best for us and the green folks. 🤠🤠🥴

Totally agree about all the crazy regulations these days. Who knows if these additives really work. Next thing you know they will outlaw all the older equipment that doesn’t have the EPA stuff on it. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting.

I have had a CK3510SE (2022) for 2 years now and have had no problems with the DPF or regen. Any time it has gone into regen I just continued working while it was doing it's thing. Like you I keep it around 2000 and it goes pretty quick. 10 or 15 minutes. Haven't had an issue with the block, probably because I was using the loader. Thank you for the video

The manual says to stop working in my 2024 ck3520 says to let it sit above 2000 rpm for 30 min.

@@user-wc8lu7qd2m they must have changed that for some reason. In the 2021 manual, it just states if the automatic regen underway lamp comes on during operation just keep the engine rpm above 1500. Thanks for checking out the video.

@@backyardcountrylivin1514 so page 4-13 of the Ck26/35/40 20 series- when the light comes on - 1) park on flat surface, 2) idle the engine, 3) stop the vehicle, 4) put all shift levers in neutral. 5) run the engine for 3 to 4 minutes then press the activation portion of the regeneration switch. ****6) “the regeneration warning lamp goes off and the regeneration process lamp blinks. Before returning to work, wait for approx. 30 to 40 minutes until the regeneration process is complete.” So part 6 says to wait before work until the process is complete on the 20- series Same page it says “avoid unnecessary engine idling” when taking about protecting the catalyst filter.

I have a CK4010 bought in 2020, around 240 hours, same regeneration intervals, around 50 hours.

DPF filters can be cleaned. It’s not that hard to make a cleaning system. Haven’t checked Utube for how to make but it’s basically just a pump / piping and a cleaning solution. Not sure why so many worries about DPF regeneration. Just wait until DEF is what you’re dealing with. Now that’s the real nightmare

That’s great information. I will look and see if anyone has posted a DPF filter cleaning video. I have heard some of the farmers with the bigger tractors talk about the troubles with the DEF. Thank you for the input, watching and commenting.

Yes, I can't stand it. I have a few choice words every time I drive my wife's car. You know how it is these days, pay more, get less, and something or someone else wants to control what you do.
