@@corywashington9580 The Extra mode and some of the bonus content is actually fairly challenging but overall the game is easy. It's a longer than average Kirby game so it's definitely worth it for the fun content alone.

Most of The Forgotten Land from a general perspective isn't that new anyways. 3D? Already done in the series before with similar movement. The way abilities play? Directly taken from 2D games, even stripped down in some areas. Perfect dodge? Modified from a mechanic in the Star Allies-final boss. And so on and so fourth.

​@@lpfan4491 that's not true at all. The whole engine has been created for this game from scratch. That is has already been done somewhat in a completely different old game does nothing for it. Copy abilities work vastly different in a 3D space, also they added completely new copy abilities for it and copy ability variations for existing ones. Not to mention new enemies, new bosses, dozens of levels, special stages and so on. As a gamedev myself i can tell you that all of this needs a *lot* more work than you give ot credit for. I'm not saying the remaster didn't take effort and time to make as it seems to really be a work of love, but making a completely new game, new engine, everything, just takes more. That's why a higher price point for the remaster makes not sense.

Kirby games always get bad reviews, no matter how good they are. Even if it's one of the best games of all time, people still hate it because it's Kirby.

For Kirby games, I think it’s best to not look at the reviews, and instead watch people play to scope out the quality. See how else that plays the whole game likes it instead of someone that just played the main story to chug out a review in time.

I agree I love Kirby too but this game is not worth the $59.99 at this point of the Switch's life.

Definitely worth it if you love the casual fun Kirby games. I really enjoyed Kirby forgotten land, but it’s easy, but I just appreciate the fun factor and the creativity in the development. I do think that this new Kirby game is worth getting at about $40-$50, but that’s just my opinion and seems like a great buy with the Nintendo Vouchers.

I have the original since 2011 and still bought the new one XD The one on the Wii is my favoutite Kirby game and this new look amazing. I've already played the Demo and loved it ^^ I don't mind paying for the game again, for a new updated version with much more content, great graphic and the possiblity to play the game everywhere I want on my Switch :D Also controlling Kirby with my ProController (or Joy Cons) feels also better then controlling the character with the Wii remote x'D But I still love the original game on the Wii, so I hope you have a great time with it ^^ The best way to play the game is with friends in multiplayer, btw. :D My friend and I played the game over 10 times together X'D

@@LuigisLegend Been watching antdude until I get my copy tomorrow, but so far the loading times are still very much slower than the original. They weren't fast to begin with so god only knows how you think it's fast. As for the cutscenes, the problem isn't that they're long, the problem is that they kill the pace for other players. If I could turn on an option to permanantly skip them, as in, have them not play at all that would be perfect, but there's no such option as far as I've seen.

If you're curious, they're on average three times slower. Gotta remember that the Wii version ran off a disc too. That's some shoddy craftmanship.

I’d $45 is the spot because this is a remake with new additions and epilogue is worth $10 on its own so on that point is fair. Physical copy may get to that price months after release

There's also a lot of new content. You're missing out if you don't buy it.

Yeah, an actual hardmode would be nice. Extra Mode is that to a degree, but one has to play through normal mode first, even if one already played that before. And then there is the fact that this and the Forgotten Land offer easy mode with Forgotten pretending like the normal mode is a hard mode.

the challenge in kirby games comes from the post game stuff extra mode isnt super hard but its a pretty decent challenge you have 1/2 health and bosses can defeat you in like 3-4 hits

All of the recent Kirby games have unique platforming, new abilities, new gimmicks, new characters, new bosses, new stories and new side games. Kirby Superstar and Kirby Superstar Ultra were essentially just like 6 mini Kirby adventures in one game, with a few extra modes. New Super Mario Bros. Has unique platforming and kind of unique bosses. The characters and gameplay loop are actually the exact same. There was also like 2 extra modes in NSMBU that nobody actually enjoys. This is clearly a comment made by someone that hasn’t actually played all of the recent Kirby games, because they have done plenty to stand out from each other. Kirby: Planet Robobot has one of the most highly praised stories and platforming in the series, and the Robobot armor also helps to improve the gameplay without restricting you in any way (looking at you, Mario Odyssey). Also Superstar is incredible mid and I have no idea why people like it so much.

@@Grindelsire I've 100% completed Return to Dreamland Wii, Triple Deluxe, and Planet Robobot, and I bought and started them all on release date. I've never understood the hype behind Robobot in particular, its definitely more fun than RtDL and TD, but not significantly so. Its really just another Kirby game. Its hard to be excited when its the third game in a row where I am traversing the same style of level with a similar pool of copy abilities, doing easy puzzles for whatever collectable unlocks that world's secret level and repeating for hours and hours of gameplay. At least Superstar has modes like Great Cave Offensive where Kirby has a larger interconnected world with a focus on exploration, or Milky Way Wishes with its focus on collecting and freely swapping through a library of obtainable copy abilities. These are massive changes to the way you approach the game, whereas the gimmicks found in all the new 2D Kirby's over the last decade are temporary enhancements to your moveset while doing the same gameplay style you've been doing the entire time, holding right and clearing enemies.

@@nunyabiddeness6544 I don’t really see how these game mode gimmicks are any less temporary than the ones present in the modern games. You'll have to collect treasure… for like an hour and then you move on. You get to collect a pool of abilities and select what level you want to play… for like an hour… and then you move on. It also isn’t helped by the fact that these gimmicks aren’t that fun (except for Meta Knightmare, but that isn’t even Super Star Ultra's idea); for example, Great Cave Offensive's doors and routes are extremely annoying to trek through. You don’t know if you are working towards treasure, or just like… a tomato. You also seem to only be focusing on the main mode of these games, which seems a bit unfair when you are comparing it to Superstar's entire game selection. You've still got the Subgames, the Arena, modes like Heroes in Another Dimension (which has quite difficult puzzles, mind you) and Meta Knightmare/Dededetour/Guest Star, where the challenge is in lowering your time and optimizing what items you pick up to go even faster. I also find it quite interesting that you 100 percent'ed all three and bought them on Day 1 despite finding the gameplay repetitive.

In japan, it is called Kirby of the Stars Wii DX.

Based on the general reception of the original version of this game, go for Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe, not Star Allies. I personally think Star Allies is a great game too though, so if you think you want more after you play this, try out Star Allies or its Demo.
