Excellent tips. Also for beginners and others in general I like to make sure that I turn in a direction that gets the wake boarder on their heel side through the turn since that's the easier side to ride on. That would be a left turn if they're goofy and a right turn if regular.

Very good video. At first I thought he was a douche, but I was wrong. He knows what he is doing and trying to share knowledge. Thanks

Kirby Liesmann Thanks, likewise for you too wakeboarding. this morning was my first attempt and I was plowing so not sure if wife didn't get on gas hard enough or I was doing it wrong but will take time.

Thanks man! Just remember not to push with your legs or pull with your arms. Stay relaxed and crunched in a ball with your knees bent until the board planes out.

Kirby Liesmann ok, yes I was trying to keep bent and not stand up early, I'm going to try again tomorrow. thank you

My girlfriends dad needs to see this. He nearly ripped my arms off not waiting for the rope to be tight also.

it will depend on skill level and comfortability Beginners ~ 18-20mph Intermediate ~ 20-22mph Advanced ~ 22-24mph (With ballast to make sure you have a huge wake)
@davidmichael55736 жыл бұрын
Cole Bernards first place I seen someone actually post a speed. I found about 21 mph for myself. Anything slower and I can’t seem to stay standing as I start to cut outside the wake.

Im curious about throttle control...do drop the hammer down or "ease" it up to help get the skier or waker up?
@onlygodknows79 жыл бұрын
Easy it's not like ski you will just rip it out of their hands
@kirbylliesmann9 жыл бұрын
MOONHAWK9491 Hey thanks for the question! When getting a wakeboarder up it's definitely best to ease up on the throttle. Be blessed - safe boating!

Are we able to ski/board with only two people, and not a spotter?

it differs from state to state, but if you have a mirror you should be fine!

would love to know the speed for pulling new riders out of the water/and good tow speed?
@kirbylliesmann5 жыл бұрын
I would suggest pulling them out of the water very slowly having them keep weight against their heels, and not rushing standing up. Once they are up and going, you'd probably want to pull them between 12-15mph. Hope that helps!

Is waking boarding the same as wake surfing?
@kirbylliesmann6 жыл бұрын
They are similar in the form you use to get up on the board, but different sports for sure. In wakeboarding you're strapped into the board and ski from further rope length from the boat. In wake surfing, it's similar to ocean surfing in the sense that there are no foot straps/bindings at all. The boat is weighted on one side creating a large surf wave, and once you get going you can actually surf behind the boat without holding onto the rope. It's so much fun! In terms of boat driving, the two are similar.
