Schofield puts such mean and original moves on that groove. Josh is super mean in his way as well. Kirk plays so beautiful you can't stand it - rhythm and solos both. Thanks so much for posting this!

Kirk is the roots of the blues. Josh is the virtuoso type. Matt is the always jazz it up dude. All of them together is all the reasons why we like music

I gotta comment - Schofield’s time is really, really good. He has a really relaxed, pocket time feel. He sounds remarkably good playing bass lines and comping. and absolutely nothing seems to be able to tug him on top of the beat. He lays back just right. Nice.

Played a strate all my life and use the middle pickup all the time. Sounds great to me o.O

@@whynottalklikeapirat but you have to acknowledge that most strat players use neck, neck/middle, middle bridge, and SOMETIMES bridge, but rarely the middle alone.

@@BigSh00tsie The thing is - I find that individual strats tend to either sound good on the individual pickups OR the combinations. If you make the combination of neck and middle sound good you usually take a bit away from neck. Same with the bridge and middle. My CS strat sounds best on the individual pickups. Middle one is really full and not harsh at all. It has super clarity for chords and a nice cutting edge with a fair amount of low end for leads. The combinations are ok but not quite as interesting. well - bridge and middle actually do a real nice cluck, but neck and middle become a little muddy together. I can adjust it but then it's at the expense of the neck pup which I really favour ....

Matt Schofield already has a course in Truefire, and it seems Josh and Kirk will have courses soon, the closest thing to a one on one, totally recommend it!!

I want to learn Kirk's modal pent stuff, he has a unique way of using modes with the blues scale, and his feel is off the charts. "My Turn" album is KILLER

I think Josh is very aware of how to use pauses. He uses them frequently at his shows. This video was just a quick back and forth demo at a music industry convention.

This happens if you add the best guitarist coming out of UK (Matt Schofield who dethroned Eric Clapton some 20 years ago already). You get an impromptu trio which will build you the soul garden of Blues where evil can not enter and all the greed and hate will simply vanish.
