That's not emo. This is the Dennis Rodman (whatever the fuck style he persues) face, when he was with Lars going to those New York avant-gard artist parties full of snobs and imbeciles. An emo dresses in black, with clothes 3 sizes bigger, dark hair with the forehead and eyes covered, and his hands full of cuts by dad's razor blade.

It was 100% a trendy thing to do then, especially in Hollywood. That whole image change of theirs was diametrically opposed to what any metal fan of the time was doing in their personal lives, absolutely alienated the core fans even more than the music of the black album, and just completely made them look like sell-outs.

And he is on record saying that if Cliff had been alive he would have had an ally against all the changes in the band. i can play most of the instrument. i m die hard fan of metallica...lars can do signature drum beats and he has an attitude,,...the one who says he cant do double bass is a fool, but the thing that sucks him is his rolling....he had many rolling that he used to do in early metallica , but with economical success he went too lazy...and i makes me disappoint...lars would fit the band you imagined, but if only he improve his rolling...

James's Hair was sexy during this era. The whole shaved sides thing... Besides that, I agree. The Black album was pretty kick ass. It was creative and it had a very angry, yet empty vibe to it. It captivated me. It was versitile and alternative. It attracted people with numerous tastes and styles. That's why it sold so well. Metallica, no matter the road they take, will remain my favorite.

@ 2:18 he says that the guitar has it's original spelling mistake. On the guitar, it is spelled O-U-I-J-A, however, the correct spelling is O-U-I-J-A. The same. What is he talking about? I even Googled it to be sure, and it is spelled Ouija. What am I missing?

Kirk could hook that empty transparent guitar to a rubber tube and fill it progressively during the concert. He won't need bathroom breaks anymore. They could all go with this guitar pro hack actually. Robert always crawls around like he has to pee badly, he'd probably love it too. James has the guitar so low he won't even need a tube. Lars has it the best, he could go for weeks before having to empty the containers if he uses his drum kit for that purpose. I don't how it would affect the sound of the drums, but can't be possibly worse than St. Anger.
