@@candykanefpv98 that's actually how playing flamenco guitar is done...just because a bass player doesn't use a pick don't mean playing flamenco is gonna be easy...its like anything...if u don't practice at it ull never get any good...and just cause a person can play any style of bass without a pick doesn't mean they're gonna be a great flamenco player...they'll obviously have an advantage compared to someone who never held a guitar...a lil oversimplified

People give metallica a lot of shit for not being the most technically proficient musicians (they'd probably agree given how I hear them talking) but end of the day, they're sitting around making music with each other. Never underestimate dedication and persistence and just 'sending it.'
@RareHarmony3 жыл бұрын
@@missbelled6700 They are technically proficient, just not always 'consistent,' especially when it comes to Lars. I also think James never gets enough chance to truly shine at guitar, because he is not the lead, but I honestly think he has some better techniques and certainly better downstroking speed and accuracy than Kirk.

You have to remember that they were still mourning cliff when Jason was in the band and James kinda took it out on him so James saw Jason as less of a bassist and more of a replacement

Jason wrote the main riff to blackened too.
@CsaVage903 жыл бұрын
LeMonke That’s been the explanation for a long time. I feel that the grieving period was a valid excuse for awhile, but Jason never got respect from the band. I think Lars and James liked keeping Jason in the new guy status indefinitely to compensate for massive insecurities and to feed their egos.

@@cliffw1210 I think you're mistaken. That's a Gibson, clearly. He's toyed around with Gibson on making the Iron Cross signature, but never went through with it because ESP offered to make it first (and did a shit job at it). Gibson did make a prototype, as seen in this video. Notice no wear marks? Anyway, he didn't end up with Gibson making the iron cross, but he did end up with some prototypes. I have had the opportunity to speak to James about this, so my source is good.

@@cliffw1210 I know that. In fact I owned the limited edition black one for a short while. What I am saying is that your info is incorrect.
