Genial, wie Richard Wagner die Götter-Dämmerung im Finale, Finale umgesetzt hat! Wotans Leit-Motiv: bzw. die Stelle: Wer meines Sperrespitze fürchtet..und dann kracht alles zusammen und Harmonie ist wieder da...

she was the best ever. forget nilsson, varney, jones, theorin.... not even close. although jenny wilson is, but doesn't jerk the emotion out of you like flagstad does.

She was the best ever and I have obviously (born 1953) only heard the recordings. Have heard Nilsson many times, Lindholm, Theorin, others in recent years. Can only agree.

+Tjhie Mursid Djiwatman: Probably Maria Nezadal (she sang it on june 1st 1937 at Covent Garden, London. I think that was the same occasion ...)
