Kel nailed what Kiss is and what being a Kiss fan is all about! She gets it! And yes, Eric Carr (seen in this video) replaced the original Kiss drummer Peter Criss in 1981, passed away of cancer in 1991.

final song eric carr recorded with kiss and did the video for was God Gave Rock And Roll to u II. eric singer did the rest of that album.

MsStecarl actually, Eric Carr had gotten his Cancer diagnosis during the production of The Revenge CD and was unavailable to record the drum parts of most of the songs on that album, Eric Singer filled in for him to record the drum tracks on Revenge and after Eric Carr's death would replace Eric Carr as the drummer for Kiss Eric Carr may have appeared in the music video for "God gave Rock and Roll to you" but he didn't play the drums for the song when they were originally recording it Gene Simmons actually talked about this on a video that I remembered seeing on KZfaq

#KISS Baby Driver Silver Spring, MD. Fell in love with this song as a young rocker. Still love KISS all these years later. And really, you can't go wrong with any of KISS' early music catalog.

This song made me a drummer after it came out. It was the first I could play from start to finish even though I had no kit until a few months later. KISS got me heavily into music at 7-8 years old in '77-8. They literally changed my life. I've read the original drum track for this song was slowed down to get the tempo we have on the recording. Eric always played it faster, live.

Kel's facial expressions are truly priceless. It's still a really great video 38 years on. Colorful lights, precise choreography and brilliant special effects. One of my favorite music vids of all time...because it was ahead of its time.

It took 42 years but I finally get to see them. The first time the band I was in had a gig the same night so we got to deal with the overflow of folks that couldn't make the show. The second time recently before the world ended, my "friend" and I got turned around going over the mountain pass in February. Sept 24 I finally get to see them.

Please see them if you can. The only way to understand the fandom is by seeing them live. You may even become members of the KISS Army yourselves, you never know! I just saw them in Boston a few weeks ago, and this tour is complete Bombast. You'll see why all arena acts owe something to the "Hottest Band in the World". BTW, LOVE the Channel!

Haven't seen this video in years. So glad it didn't get blocked. I used to have all kiss albums on cassette including a few bootleg tapes and every one of their solo albums. I had them all in a carrying case but it got stolen when I moved years ago. Great song . A classic #skid row slave to the grind Fernie British Columbia canada ☺

lol. This was when Eric (RIP) brought in that gargantuan drum sound. I grew up on them as a kid, and still follow them loosely, have read all their biographies. Let her know Gene, with that gross tongue, also has one of the highest "belt notch" counts on the entire planet. Just a side fun (?) fact. And that Paul's autobiography is *great* reading. Cheers.

Hope you do get a chance to see KISS when they come your way. They are saying this is the last tour, and I believe 'em (given their various ages and other factors with the band). My wife and I saw them at the end of March and the show was absolutely epic! Seen 'em a few times before, but this last show was the best.

What I always got from the song is to ignore bullies or any who want to make you feel less than who you really are... I fell in love with this band when I saw them on the Paul Lynne Halloween Special back in the 70s. Gordon

'78-'80 member of the KISS Army here. I saw them touring with Rush...you will NEVER be upset about the money you spend for a concert. They always give you all they have.
